Now that Freedom Planet and A Hat in Time are coming to the Switch, do you guys think Lilac or Hat Kid pose a threat to Shantae by being playable in Smash now instead of her? I think atm in 2018, one of them may be more popular than Shantae's franchise, BUT Shantae has a much deeper history with Nintendo than any of the other of the indie reps by far. So I think that while although Sakurai definitely appreciates that fact, I'm also a bit worried about her current relevancy, and how that may or may not effect her chances.. wut do y'all think??

I ain't worried. Hat Kid just has one game to her name that still needs its DLC released, and development of Freedom Planet's sequel has been slow due to issues in regards to the first game's add-on content/characters setting everyone back.

Carol was my main and I loved beating everyone up with her. :3

As much as I love both of those games, Lilac and Hat Kid have no chances of gaining playable status. If they made it in they would be normal trophies.

I'd hate to say it, but I fully agree with Dylly here. Hat Girl is similar in portion to Yooka-Laylee, in that both were very much too late to go into Smash Bros, since their hype was too late. And with Lilac, it may not have existed too much during the days.

when you click attach files or insert images when you begin to make a post, once you select your file you should see an option to put it as a thumbnail or a full image.

Already happened on Reddit with people postulating that Issac's earth powers would be poorly timed with the earthquake.

I do like Carols personality and more combat play style. I find Mila one of the more fun and unique to use. getting used to her shield and block mechanic is so interesting

Milla was the hardest of the three for me to play with.
Carol on the other hand was the easiest. Could also be, because I loved her the most.
But she also had the most controllable I-Frames. Dat Flurry Kick blocks everything. :3

Either way though, I don't think neither Hat Kid nor Lilac are even close to a serious competition for Shantae.

But welp, for now we gotta wait for a little while longer for another chance to see her fate.

Well they do seem to have a serious fan and develpoment backing. The chances are slim, but I wouldn't completely write them off either.

As much as I love both of those games, Lilac and Hat Kid have no chances of gaining playable status. If they made it in they would be normal trophies.

I don't think any character has an absolute zero chance of being in Smash, as long as they've been on a Nintendo system before.
Like, that's why I didn't mention Sans, cuz Undertale has no relation to Nintendo at all.
I still believe Shantae is in the clear though, I just wanted to know what y'all thought of the other semi-popular indie reps.
