Why can't we just delete posts instead of having a mod come around to delete/merge them? I think that's kinda ridiculous for a modern forum.

"Found out about the earthquake last night. Absolutely terrible news, I pray that as many lives are saved as possible and that Japan can recover quickly from this. It's completely understandable for the Direct to be delayed.

As another user suggested, please consider donating to a reputable charity with boots on the ground for disaster relief. Even just a dollar can help if there are many donating what they can."

Honestly, I don't see why these Polls even matter at this point.
We know the roster was finalized long ago.

So no matter how we vote in these polls or what rankings characters take...
It won't change the roster... o_O

It gives a (somewhat) good indicator of how popular a character is and as to their viability for appearing as possibly DLC or in a future installment. The theory being that if a fanbase is vocal enough, it'll be noticed by Nintendo.

And honestly, at this point, we're kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of Nintendo stars for potential newcomers. This kind of data can be valuable in figuring out if there are any characters with significant fan clamor left.

The only issue is that these strawpolls can be easily botted. I personally think that Shantae botter was a false-flagger (which is a more common occurence than you would think) as it makes no sense to record yourself cheating if you supposedly support that character. They know they were going to get caught and that it would cause backlash for the character.
