I loved Shantae ever since I thought about a possible roster for a "Nintendo VS Capcom" game, did research, found her original game (only Shantae game that existed at the time), watched a longplay of it and fell in love with her and her game. <3

I can beat that. I say the Gameboy Color game in Nintendo Power, wanted it, but never found it. Then didn't even know it had a sequel. Then came across Pirates Curse, bought it because I never got to play the original 12 years prior, became one of my favorite games of all time (I'd call it perfect if it weren't for the horrible Rottytops part, and the final stage), then played 4 (still have no way to play 1, and can't afford 2 now), hated it because it wasn't as good as 3...forgot my point here O.o

What do you mean? The Rottytops part is one of my favourite moments in the whole game! And that's not just because of the seriously catchy music.
