Welp, tomorrow's the day. I genuinely hope Shantae, and everyone who came to give us support that their character gets in the game.

One by one we will clock out till tomorrow.

I believe I supported Shantae back in the Ballot Era. And after Shovel Knight was revealed as an AT and all the things adding up on WayForward's end...who knows! Coming back to show support once again. If any indie character should step up to the Smash fighter plate, I think it should be Shantae. She's been a long standing (almost) Nintendo exclusive character since the GB days.

That would certainly be a far cry from her normal design, and I would love it!

I gave up my full prediction over at Rate Those Characters, based on what little I know and gut feeling. And plenty of bias XD

I don't know if I'd be fully OK with that. Like, I'd probably get used to it quickly just because Sakurai will always make sure the characters look great, but Smash is a celebration of multiple different games with their own uniqueness and styles. Ice Climbers, Ness and Mario aren't rendered realistically because that's not how their games are stylized, why should Shantae be the only one forced into a different style from her own?

I would not like this, no. She's always been a very stylized character and to be "Bayofied" would not be a good representation of her in Smash.

Welp, turns out nothing is being revealed anytime soon except for a VERY coincidentally placed earthquake to ruin my sanity, and anyone who was involved with it’s lives. R.I.P. (but seriously, how much bad luck does it take to get a direct to be scheduled for the same day as a quake? Now we’ll be waiting at least a week, hopefully less for the reveals. The direct better be worth my time for a delay. I do hope people recover though.)

The only bright side is a new song on Wednesday. Can't imagine how the website people are taking this, they'll have to stall for more time now because all plans got ruined. Hope that they got some good shelters over there, innocent people will be stuck without houses for a bit.

A week may be a bit long. It really depends on how much devastation or if more comes. Right not I'm thinking a day or 2. Nintendo has time senstivie stuff they need to release. Not just smash, but possible same day launches of games on the e-shop. Also, Best buy did take down that event for smash, because I assume Nintendo meant to announce it during the direct, so they can't delay that too much
