If you need to avoid leaks then you should probably avoid the internet until 6est tomorrow. Even a fake leak can have the same demoralizing effect and there's going to be a lot of those.

Here's some friendly advice, given my experience with avoiding leaks for the last Direct: it would be wise to play some games for a bit.

Also remember to treat all leaks with a huge grain of salt, regardless of who the leaker is or how "credible" they seem. None of them really know the full roster and they all want the attention. Don't rely on them to get your hopes up or diminish your hype. None of them are to be trusted.

Could you make it a Nerscylla instead? Spiders are surprisingly prominent throughout the Shantae series, Half-Genie Hero has gorgeous designs involving them and Nerscylla is one of my favourite monsters. I might change my profile pic to it if Shantae happens.

Sticking to my prediction the Shantae trailer starts with the Kongs fighting K. Rool and Dixie Kong is revealed, but it's a fake out since she's a Diddy echo. Then Shantae shows up and joins the fight, then we get the gameplay part of the trailer. Trailer ends with Dixie and Shantae doing a high five with their pony tails.

If I get my headcanon of Dixie and Shantae being BFFs, I will never ask Sakurai for anything ever again.

Spoiler: Warning: Pessimistic Rant

I’m sorry, but I’m really pessimistic about her chances this Direct, and in general. They’re probably gonna reveal only one character, with that being Isaac, Geno, Incineroar, or Skull Kid. Even if they reveal a second non-echo, it’ll probably be one of those four. There’s only really space for three, maybe four newcomers, and those are the ones who have the evidence, along with Vergeben and Loz18 on their side (believe them or not, you can’t deny how much they’ve gotten right). Even if there aren’t, there are more who have a groundswell of support, like Banjo. All we have is a theory that could very well lead to an Assist Trophy (possibly not even a unique Assist, but a replacement for the Sable Prince).

Sorry for the rant. Just something to remind everyone to keep their expectations low, and either avoid disappointment if she’s not revealed or maximize hype if she is.

On a more positive note, I don’t really main anyone, but I plan to use everyone a fair amount, with slightly more use for , and if they’re in, Bandana Dee, and of course, Shantae.

Also, I have a dumb question. How do you feel Shantae’s chances would be affected by Dixie getting in, seeing how they could both use their hair as a whip? Would there be a difference between Dixie being unique and an echo?

We'll end up talking about whatever there'll be, and even a reveal ain't going to make the game come out faster. Nintendo's got stuff in store for us and we just gotta see what it is.
