I'd still prefer nice looking ones that aren't low poly, but ill take it if it is. Just depends how good it looks.Hoping we get low poly FF7 costumes tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind the low poly. It would actually bring back old fond memories of FF7 with my older brother when we took turns playing it.I'd still prefer nice looking ones that aren't low poly, but ill take it if it is. Just depends how good it looks.
Honestly I’d prefer the low poly ones. My biggest gripe with the FFVII Remake isn’t the story, which I’ve just kind of accepted is going to be its own confusing mess but that’s just kind of par for the course for FFVII, or the gameplay which I actually welcomed with open arms as it seemed to fix the issues FFXV had.I wouldn't mind the low poly. They’re also fit for DLC spirit board except for Cloud. Maybe that could be his Fighter Spirit even know he already got one. IdkHonestly I’d prefer the low poly ones. My biggest problem is actually the artstyle. I am NOT a big fan of Nomura’s semi-realistic design sense he adopted for Final Fantasy vaguely post-FFIX (technically post VIII because he didn’t work on IX). I dunno, the fact that we have the technology to make his original art basically come to life with models matching it to a T without destroying the console to render them feels like a missed opportunity in the pursuit of making inherently unrealistic things try to look realistic.
You can even see it in Cloud’s renders in Smash - his base costume is how I’d imagine a remake in the original art’s style to be like (just even more polished because stronger system), and then the Advent Children costume rounds out his hair to try and make more sense of it. But it’s a nonsensical hairstyle. It doesn’t have to make sense.
...Sorry if this is off topic for the Shantae thread. I get passionate about the ‘unique artstyle vs realistic graphics’ debate and for some reason Mii costumes brought it out in me.
Those aren't ingame models though. Like really, I would take the new 3d likeness over how it looked like on the ps1 any day.Honestly I’d prefer the low poly ones. Yeah and this episode perfectly shows how easily things can spiral out of reason, for the sake of "protecting the children".Yup, censorships has come a long way since the old days of "We're gonna need another Timmy"
I do think the biggest problem of FF7R is the story.Honestly I’d prefer the low poly ones. What's wrong with Nicalis?Man, Nicalis is not doing well for their reputation.
Nicalis has a bad reputation for denying the indie games they work with to update their games because 'it's not making enough money' or flat-out even ghosting them. Or at least that's some of the cases I've heard that I know is true. But in general I've heard quite a few stories where Tyrone Rodriguez (the founder) is being rude, racist and being controlling or even exploitative. Edmund McMillen (Creator of The Binding of Isaac) also decided to part ways with Nicalis because of this I believe. What's wrong with Nicalis?
It's **** like all the that makes me certain Quote is never getting in SmashNicalis has a bad reputation for denying the indie games they work with to update their games because 'it's not making enough money' or flat-out even ghosting them. LOL! I actually want Quote to be an assist trophy and mii costume mainly because he is not widely known. It's **** like all the that makes me certain Quote is never getting in Smash
Funny that this is never widely talked about.Nicalis has a bad reputation for denying the indie games they work with to update their games because 'it's not making enough money' or flat-out even ghosting them. That and Daisuke Amaya/Studio Pixel going beyond Sakurai and not making sequels to any of his games, let alone paying attention to Cave Story anymore. It's **** like all the that makes me certain Quote is never getting in Smash
They just milk the original game to death. I don't believe that non-Nintendo IPs with just one game have a chance at Smash. That and Daisuke Amaya/Studio Pixel going beyond Sakurai and not making sequels to any of his games, let alone paying attention to Cave Story anymore.
That's what I keep telling people, and no one believes me! Is it any wonder why Shovel Knight suddenly got a few spin-offs a few years following his AT reveal?I don't believe that non-Nintendo IPs with just one game have a chance at Smash.
Well to be fair bugs directly affect the player's enjoyment of a game. Some shoddy business decisions and a questionable guy at a company aren't directly noticeable in most of the cases. And some people simply don't care about what goes on behind the scenes, they just like to enjoy their games for what they are.Funny that this is never widely talked about.
And yet mistakes like Cyberpunk 2077's botched release are treated like the biggest crime in humanity.
Shovel Knight will cultivate a legacy. I would prefer him over Shantae for obvious reasons. That's what I keep telling people, and no one believes me! Is it any wonder why Shovel Knight suddenly got a few spin-offs a few years following his AT reveal?
3rd party mini-series reps can still warrant to be playable. Also the number of appearances a character makes doesn't always correlate with their fame or popularity. That and Daisuke Amaya/Studio Pixel going beyond Sakurai and not making sequels to any of his games, let alone paying attention to Cave Story anymore.
Still, people treat CDPR like straight up villains now.Well to be fair bugs directly affect the player's enjoyment of a game. Me 2!Less than an hour away, I'm really curious about the mii costumes
Wanna see how seph plays too of course But yeah. It'll pass by fast, so it's all good.
Shouldn't you be in the Shovel Knight thread then?Shovel Knight will cultivate a legacy. I would prefer him over Shantae for obvious reasons.
