It's not like they mention all that much, they're nintendo and keep things hidden. Though I'm sure someone could point out other games that have been pushed back. And we can think that steve was probably planned for E3 but got pushed back.

I did not say I believe in it, it was just a mere proposal for a possible outcome.

That said, I only said that conclusion because I wanted to get it out of my head and see what others think of it.

Fair, but leaks come from people having connections to insiders who in turn hav info frm bits and pieces they can scrape off from people THEY know that give out info in bits to hide their identities. Its all a big web of trickle downed information.

Not always. Sometimes they really do know something, so it makes you think they heard from a source or someone who knows but didn't share it and just used it to troll people, like say what they heard but then the rest is fake.

Seriously, leak culture sucks lol.

Okay, I'm sorry but I've gotta be honest. The only reason you seem to think that that Crash/Shantae leak is real is because it's one of the ONLY leaks that features Shantae for Smash! I find it way too suspicious that the only TWO leaks you seem to believe happen to have your most requested character in them. Are you aware that there have been other 4chan leaks that correctly predicted future game releases that also featured certain characters being named for Smash? One correctly predicted Atelier Ryza 2 and predicted Ryza for Smash, that wound up being not true. Another one correctly predicted numerous Nihon Falcom/NIS America games coming to both the Switch and the west, while also saying that Rean Schwarzer from Trails of Cold Steal would likely be the Nihon Falcom rep for Smash. That one hasn't happened either. So tell me, how is that Crash/Shantae leak any different from these two? There's nothing there that hasn't also happened in these 2 examples except that it features your most-requested character! If this leak had named any other character besides Shantae, you would write it off as just a coincidence. I don't want to go against my girl's chances, but I'm telling you straight up, that it's highly likely this leak isn't real. Whether it's proven at the Game Awards or some time next month, I'm not sure. I keep telling you to temper your expectations, but you don't want to do that. That's on you. So if Challenger 8 winds up being someone other than Crash and Shantae, don't go on a rant about Sakurai or Nintendo not giving you what you want, alright?

Bruh. Those are not the reasons why I believe the leaks. You got it all wrong. I only believe the leaks because at least they don't sound far fetched like literally everything else I have seen, and the leak Shinuto posted has some credibility to it, such as the app and the Animal Crossing update. Calm down.

It's a text post on 4chan claiming to be a leak - those aren't very reliable.

Also, I don't follow Animal Crossing, but I don't think that update happened. (correct me if I'm wrong - I figure I would have seen something on Nintendo's Twitter account if a major update was announced last month)

Does Shinuto really have to keep explaining why he finds the leak to be trustworthy? The Crash as Fighter 7 part is a typo. That's one thing.

The whole reason I said that was because of what was talked about. And all I said is over-estimator, how is that an insult? Anyway, don't worry about it, just messing around ;)

Well, last year most of the DLC characters released 2 months apart from each other, so I would say this year they're just being delayed due to issues with COVID. But if the next character is revealed next month, then at least we won't have much longer to wait.

I think Geno has a really good shot at making it in mostly because of his history with the Smash fanbase. He has been highly demanded for a long time, long before official ballots were a thing, and Sakurai and Nintendo are very much aware od the demand (even if its by a very vocal but small group)

Sakurai is clearly very concerned with please the fans, with this game more than any past Smash game (let's not forget how often he has emphasized how there will never be a roster like this one again) so I think if they were going to get Geno in, now would be the time.

I also don't see Square being as much as a problem with Geno as they are with their other characters. Yes, they own Geno just like the do Cloud of Sora or whoever, however they still can't really use him without Nintendo. That means that tho they have the rights, they can't option those rights to anyone but Nintendo, so they either make a deal or they do nothing and earn nothing.

It's not like Cloud where they can option him out to other companies or save him to use in their own games. If they want to make money with Geno, it will only come from Nintendo and with a game like Smash, they would have nothing to do but basically sign the rights for use. Easy money or no money, so I don't see them being an issue. Music could still be an issue as that would have to go through each composer tho.

As for will Geno be revealed next. I don't really know. If they were planning a double reveal for E3 that later got scraped, I could see them making Geno one of those reveals, which could mean he is next in line. However, if I were following my gut, I would say if Geno gets in it will either be as the last character, or the last character to be revealed at a big event (i.e. planned for next year's E3)

He could still not get in, but if he is I imagine they would make him the last reveal to give the most satisfying arch to the character's history in Smash.

Personally, I don't want Geno more than other characters, but if he got in I would like him and certainly appreciate the journey he and his supporters have been on. If he doesn't get in I won't be bothered much either, but I still have to admit that he has a better chance than most, particularly better than any character who is as obscure as he is.

Yesterday, I was told that there would be at least five world premieres at The Game Awards 2020 according to the Twitter account for it.

And I realised the show will go on for 4 hours

I’m not saying it won’t happened but if there’s no Smash reveal in this year’s TGA, it‘s ok because you know TGA is not just about Smash. It’s all about new PS5 and Xbox X Series games since PS5 and Xbox X Series has been releasing. The only thing some greedy Smash fans only watch TGA 2020 for next challenger reveal because of Joker situation and of course it’s all about games. Just because it’s the show about new games it doesn’t always mean there‘ll be Smash reveal like they‘re expecting Crash to be there. Well we don’t know but we’ll see. If there’s no Smash reveal, it’s alright. There’s no reason to get mad over one thing at all if there’s none because that makes you being really selfish and don’t care about anything but yourself. Then again, Smash fanbase can be really toxic for no reason. Try experience something new you might be interested in instead of just Smash. Everything is just a game.

Also the NEW label in Smash website is still there. It usually removes for the sign of another third-party character being next so I don’t know if that doesn’t matter and we’re getting a third-party character in TGA which it’s tomorrow or it does. Any thoughts?

I don't think the NEW labels means anything anymore, since I don't believe it left in the lead-up to Steve's reveal. Besides I'm not really expecting a Smash reveal to happen tonight. Its better to not expect anything and be pleasantly surprised if it does happen than expecting something and be disappointed when it doesn't.

The only thing I'm really hopeful for tonight is a new Zelda: BotW2 trailer.

If it's Crash, that leak will have more weight to it. Although I do not like how people are saying it's Jonesy. They probably saw the Donald Mustard leak.

Well i dont think its shantae, i would be very excited if it was. Crash does make a lot of sense, and is possible. I can see doomguy as well.

We shall have to see then! I wonder if it will be at 7 est or is that just when the main show starts
