Does anyone have any idea of what the format for the tournament will be like?

What happened last year? I'd assume it wouldn't be the same since this looks like there's going to be way more entrants.

Pools, then a double elimination bracket.

Are there any good ice climber players in Aus attending? I've recently switched from Falco and keen to learn from another IC main as no-one in NZ plays them.

Are there any plans outlined for what's happening outside of the tournament? I'll go ahead and throw NZ into the top 5 from each state-match you mentioned earlier in the thread (crew battle tournament?) even though a couple of us coming are pretty casual/new it should be good times!

Looking forward to getting stomped and learning, 6 Kiwis confirmed now and 2 more looking likely :)

Heck yes AUS v NZ crew battle first time in history hype cannot be contained!!!

As for IC players there aren't any notable mains left in Australia, however I used to play them and can still probably give some relevant tips/guidance.

crew battles to be single state (vic v nsw v qld v nz/sa/perth?) or are we gonna have some super crew vs vic?

I totes propose myself as vic captain for either situation and all situations

Also how big do people want crews? 5v5? 6v6? 10v10?

need to know the extent of oos attendance in order to figure this out

Is that because there are likely to be more players from vic/nsw/qld than sa/perth? (just went and googled to see which state melbourne is in - i know nada about aussie hahahah)

we've done a few different formats before but 5v5 is the most common, there has been bigger before and if it turns out each state would like to put in 8 players instead of 5 we could do that easy. It's up to the other states since melbourne will always have enough since the event is in melbourne.

5 sounds logical if you're going to do something like 4 teams of 5

Aus vs the world 10v10 if its the only match :D

Trans Tasman battle dictates there should be a momentous best of Australia vs best of NZ match.
We can always run a 5v5 regional crew round robin/mini bracket if everyone turns out, but nationalism trumps regionalism.
Also Skyla the crews will be formed of the top 5 ranked players from each region, so you'd better wreck some scalps next tournament if you want a look in! This is not to be exclusive/elitist, but merely for the sake of the best possible exhibition/spectacle.

I guess we do have to start the intense NZ/Aus rivalry/hype legacy thing for years to come with a crew battle, but yea, it won't be pretty.

A crew without a falcon is a **** crew. If Tom doesn't get in I will cry.

Just a confirmation update here that Armada is now 100% funded, stretch goals/second player is still a thing though!
