Cheapest travel i can find for me is about £70 for a coach or train (WITH a railcard) :/

Not sure if i'll make it now tbh because i need to do some traveling again at the end of the month and thought i could make this for £40 or £50 max.

Thanks man. Aye those are the round about prices im getting too but its better than 40 quid. I'm pretty determined to go now so if you hear any banks in central Scotland being robbed of some pathetic sum of 50 quid expect to see me next week I'm in Perth right now but prices are generally the same for both, should be alright anyways. I'll have words with Paul later and see if I can get the same bus from Glasgow to Manc, although thinking about being on a bus with him again...

haha Will is certainly a high-spirited young man that we should all aspire to be, although I was kind of half looking forward to the stupidity of traveling half the country to a tourney and not having the fiver entry fee.


EDIT: Smudge I'd gladly help you with Marth. I kind of main Marth now, mine isn't very conventional and arguably is pretty ****e ROFL but I do alright so I'll do what I can.

Box - I couldnt really find anything cheap , just along the same lines as what you found, for anything direct and sensible. However, if you really want to keep costs down and do want to make it no matter what you could go plymouth -> london and then london->manchester. With the dates you gave thats a total of £27 return. Just takes a wee while (national express for that!).

First off I just wanna say congrats to Ed for getting some hype going for this tournament. I was almost definitely not gonna come cos as Bokkusu has pointed out its f***ing expensive, but I'm now looking into it in as much detail as possible (and trying to persuade a friend as well!). Just a couple of questions:
If I got to Bolton station at 11:32 am on saturday, would that definitely be fine in terms of entry?
What time would be the earliest I could definitely leave on Sunday? (Not that I don't love you guys, just need to find the cheapest tickets )

and one for smudge: I saw your name on the Ganon finder list... why would you want to play anyone but Ganon? I dunno how good you are but I could probably give you some pointers if you wanna stick with the coolest character in smash instead of selling out to the lure of top tier

I've seen your name bob up and down a few times aswell, good to hear from you.

And it's not that I particularly want to change main, it's just I feel my timing is gonna be so off with him it's unbelievable, but if your coming we should have some GanonBattles, see if I can get the old timing back.

I was never all that bad with him, but I kinda lost interest in the scene just at the turning point where I could become consistent or good, which ever you prefer.

More of a Brawl man myself to be honest.

yo kone in need of help, half persuaded my mate JJFox to come, we need a lil help pointing in the direction of booking and how much is entrance and venue fee??? - london players btw

jjlinyard - Singles - £5, Doubles - £10 (so fiver each) and there is NO venue fee. If you are asking if you need to book for the tournament i.e. register then that'll be done on the saturday of the tournament. Just post in here when you have booked and your coach times. That way joe will be there to pick you up.

The cheapest tickets i can find atm for yourselves is using www.nationalexpress.com. Go from london to manchester return. Takes debit cards. There is free housing on the friday and saturday night. We do this as we ralise that for a lot of people the travelling is a pain time wise (luckily there are a lot of route times to choose from and its mega cheap for you). So, look into coming up anytime friday and leave anytime sunday. Of course if you want to arrive or leave on sat and the ticket prices are there it is up to you. These tournaments are always the best as with the housing theres loads of freeplay and socialisng with the rest of the community.

Just bring a sleeping bag with u. If you guys dont have any let me know i got ****loads of sleeping bags and random quilts. There is alot of space for kippin.

Also, no need to talk about the rules. will hasnt updated this thread since he posted initially. im going to wills for the weekend today. ill use his net there , after discussing stuff with him, and update the first post with all relevant details i.e rules/tourney times/pickups/mobile numbers etc.

Me and joe were discussing doing two swiss leagues (split the turnout) then taken top four from both into a top 8 DE bracket. Cant get more exciting/accurate results than that. Be like champions league of melee.
