My only guess is the ISO got corrupted as it transferred to the SD card. Either that or a storage format error, which I doubt since usually the game will just load slowly instead of outright crashing.
I've formatted my SD card like three times now and still had no luck. Still getting a green screen.

I used everything linked in the OP.

I actually had DML before, but it randomly stopped working. So I tried following this guide (including the part at the end where you clear out your IOSs) and still had no luck.

Hmmm is there anyway this can be loaded through an SD media launcher for NGC? Since I don't have a Wii.
I believe it is possible if you follow the guide on how to rebuild your ISO for DVD back-ups or Dolphin, but I don't actually have the SD media launcher.

I did however, try a homebrew booter similar to SD media launcher called Swiss-GC, which I believe also has better compatibility and it did work. If you're savvy enough to run games off SD media launcher, I believe you'll have no trouble running SDR.

@ Shadic: I've heard reports of it randomly not working for some people too. Perhaps you should try the USB version, which seemed more consistent for me. I know Standardtoaster had this issue too, but when I installed it for him, everything worked out. Really weird.

I'm going to try a new vanilla Melee iso and go from there. It's super frustrating because everything worked for awhile, the suddenly, nothing.

(Add me on Skype and walk me through everything plz <3 I've done everything in the OP but there's gotta be more I can try.)

I'm trying to burn a copy of Demo 1 and it's not working too well either. I use DVD: I replace the main.dol on my ssbm iso, then extract all the files including whatever I was supposed to checkbox, replace the files in the root folder, then rebuild the ISO. I try it in dolphin and it works perfectly, but when I burn the DVD my wii refuses to read it, saying DVD+R/bad burn/??

I'm not sure what is wrong.. I tried burning 3 more times under different settings but they failed as well.

Have you burned DVDs for your Wii in the past? Make sure they're DVD-R and not DVD+R.

By the way, devs, I encourage you to keep an eye on my stage hacking documentation and contribute where you can. In the future we'll be able to make our own stages from scratch, and that future will arrive sooner if others include their efforts. http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=328552

"it'll begin to extract the files into a folder called "GALE01" in C:\dml\. Copy that folder to SD Card drive:\games. It will probably take around 10 minutes or slightly less."

Where exactly is the SD card drive:\games file? i'm using my parents pc so I should be able to find it.

Yes, to everyone asking if you need to create a games folder. You have to make one, put the Gale folder in there and then replace those files with the Sd remix files.

Wait is there a code to unlock all characters? Cause my memory card A slot is broken
There is. It is confirmed to work:

Code:
Unlock all stages and characters [unknown author]
04459F58 FFFFFFFF
04459F60 FFFFFFFF
To use it with SD Remix and the dios-mios-booter, make a .gct with the code [Online .gct creator here: http://geckocodes.org/index.php?gct= ; the title ID is GALE01] then insert the .gct into (SD):\games\GALE01

In the dios-mios-booter, press B to bring up the options and toggle codes on.

How do i get that sick FoD level skin? and Battlefield.

I think that if a couple of those skins where included, it would give the game a unique feel as to regular melee.

And its own title screen

The title screen is definitely a work-in-progress, but it will be done.

The custom textures can be downloaded at Illusory Labyrinth. Since textures are a matter of preference, we leave such modifications up to the end-user.

Oh, and for those whom have yet to see it, here's the release combo video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRNU8CHevf0

Is this being thought of right now?

Q: will melee sd have online capabilities?

I REALLY want to play some people online

That is entirely dependent on whether or not Massive and InternetExplorer have any plans to make SD Remix compatible with their upcoming online client.

Considering this mod is entirely self-contained in the disc image, it should work naturally. We're not going to go out of our way to make sure it works flawlessly, but I can't see anything going horribly wrong (kind of like how Project M works on Wi-Fi). However, for our ranked match system, this or any other mod will not be supported. You must have an unmodified game disc to participate in ranked matches.

edit: On second thought, mods might not work out of the box, because we take advantage of save states to quickly load games. However, I can come up with an easy workaround, so it's no big deal. We'll find out what happens in the future.

InternetExplorer i have 2 questions
1- How long would it take for you have Online Melee running?
2- Can it be used from a burned disc?

Is there no possible way to integrate it to a disc?
To play on console? No, that's not possible. SSBMO isn't a mod of Melee, it's a mod of the Dolphin emulator. The Melee mods I perform are only ones which supplement Dolphin's netcode. However, that won't be necessary if you have a PC newer than like, 5 years old.

Falco should have blue lasers, just saying. :D
Agreed :)

Sorry i need to catchup on my terms. What's the difference between ranked match system and playing online?

(i know this seems like a stupid question srry)

We plan to implement a "Ranked Match" system where you have a player score. You earn points for winning and lose points for losing. Playing normal matches online (friendlies) will not affect your score, and you could technically use whatever mods you want. Using mods in a Ranked Match would be like asking to use a modded Melee in a tournament. It wouldn't be allowed because it could negatively affect other players, or you could be using it to cheat.

Ie and everyone else, you guys are getting off topic, as much as i wanna know about this project, its got nothing to do with sd remix, other then the mod support.

Srry, one last question then i'll get back on topic.

when you say mods, do you mean like custom stages, skins and such?

Anything that involves changing any files on the disc, especially changes to the .dol file. Correct, you will not be able to use custom stages/textures in Ranked Matches, but you will be able to use them in friendlies.

Anyway, sorry to hijack the topic. These sorts of questions should be asked in the SSBMO thread in Melee Discussion.
