No, lol, I've just had them since I got my N64. It's just that I was never really a gamer or anything back then. The only thing I ever played was Pokemon Stadium and Mario Tennis, and even those I played very little. Aside from that, I've had them put away somewhere along with my N64. That's why I say they're practically new. There's nothing wrong with them that I know of...
Well I just checked them, and the joysticks are just a TINY bit loose. Nothing like what I've seen others' controllers like though. I also have a Radioshack one, lol. It's not bad I guess - I wouldn't know if it's any good for smash, but I never had a problem with it otherwise. I'm sure it's probably not great since third-party controllers have never been...I was considering selling them at one point...but I love my see-through atomic purple controller. :D
