I want the entry to be $10 regardless on if I make any money or not. I'm sure the people I'm potentially going with agree with me.
I don't even think I -can- win any money, so I don't see what you're talking about.

Yeah, this. Tournaments have always been 5 bucks. the only tournament ive ever been to that wasnt was a waba monthly.
Correction. Tournaments in South Carolina have always been $5. And small, fun tournaments in other states have always been $5.
Decent tournaments are usually $10
Just sayin', not complaining. I would never ask the TO to change the price of entry just for me, unlike what Devin thought I was implying.

It does kind of discourage the OoS guys from coming. That means even if they won, they might lose money just from gas alone. But if 10 is too much for some of the locals... I can also understand. Money is tight all over -_-

If someone is coming to an OoS tourney -- "they" should probably have the money to go there and back home regardless whether they win money or not

And that's the difference between you and I. I don't play Smash primarily for the game. I play it for the community I'm a part of. It's not "about a video game" like people always say. I went $300 in the red by going to Genesis, and it was worth it.

Agreed, Rayku. If I tried to add up all the gas money and entry fees I spent over the years when I kept going to Georgia back in the day (5 hour drives wtf) it would seem like such an awful amount, but all those memories I gathered made it totally worth it.
So, Twitch and I are fully confirmed for this. Gonna be too good.

I never said "I didn't enjoy the community" I love meeting new competition -- I'm just saying I wouldn't break my pocket to go to a tournament....lol

Nah....I would try and stay debt free and still enjoy myself, it's not impossible ~lawl~ -- Now, if you knew you would be able to pull yourself out within a few weeks then hey, you knew you were good for it but that would be the only reason to do something like that "if your good for it" -- I would too if I was "good for it"

I'm **** sure Genesis was raw as hell, I'm sad I missed it, hope I can make the next one and H.E.R.B. 3 as well -- So the people you meet is what makes you play, and not that you just enjoy the game also? [Just asking, not saying you said that, cuz you didn't]
