Putting anything on Boardwalk is actually a pretty mediocre move in competitive Monopoly.
However, it's the biggest OHKO if you manage to get both blues right away. It's equivalent to a scoop at 0% with MK that KOs you somehow. Problem is that you need a ton of resources to pull that off, and it's generally hard to get those right away if you don't have other properties or don't pass Go enough times.

Orange/Red corner is the strongest. Easily the most landed on squares on the entire board. You get ownership of a majority of either color, and you'll definitely live to see the end of the game, save for extremely bad luck.

Oh my god, the things in monopoly are named differently too?
In england the 'big' one is called mayfair. And i personaly found that light blue and orange are the winners

Light blue is okay, but it's not generally a "killer space" in most instances.
That belongs to Orange/Red.

true. I always found the red's to be too costly without having one of the cheaper colours providing the funding. Same with anything on the second half of the board

Red's aren't that costly really, and they're integral if you're hoping to win a long game.
People land on Go to Jail or get "Go to [Utility/Reading Railroad/Go to Jail/Nearest Railroad]" cards extremely often in the game. With the exception of the "Nearest Railroad" card, they will all put you in the prime position to land on Orange or Red spaces, and they will happen consistently.

It's nasty.
