Lol my b for ignoring this the first time, I've been doing random shiz since then since a friend of mine has a friend visiting this weekend.
I'm not exactly sure which part of campus it would be since I'm not very familiar with the campus period, but it felt like the northern segment of it
And you'll get better over time, especially just by playing people
And if you can't play irl then wifi a LOT, that's the only reason I'm not entirely helpless anymore

Lol, I'm glad you've seen results just tonight, but it'll improve past that over time. Wifi has lag, which is something you'll always need to have in the back of your head, but it at least lets you work on mindgames, tactics, and the like.
Oh yea, and practice your low% throw combos in practice mode - the timings very dif from wifi. I didn't realize this at my first tourney and ended up doing a lot of Dthrow > Fsmashes (which isn't guaranteed)

In other news, I'M SLOWLY REGAINING MY SKILL! I've just been playing friendlies so far, but I'm finding that after two or three games against a character I start getting back to how I used to be ^_^ I still need to remind myself to usoos, and I probably need to throw more pikmin, but it feels good to know that I can at least get back to where I was
Also: Just played some games with Slik Viik. Pro tip: don't play people Logic trains with
Noa.

so at my tourney i did some really stupid crap, aka getting gimped stupid ways, losing my cool when off the edge, etc... but i learned a crap ton of stuff from all the friendlies i did, although fino's only tip was "use fsmash more" lol
Leaned alot from Stealth_Raptor when we were doing some friendlies, he got me back into the game just pointing out what i was doing that was really stupid, i improved so much tonight guys, and on top of that had a lot of fun.
Fino that should definitely be a regular tourney, it was good.

You guys all forget that I don't have a phone. Well actually I do occasionally have one, but without any features besides minutes. And I have very few minutes too. I walked around for 30 minutes until I alas arrived there o.O And Vocal everytime I'm not home at regular time, expect to receive a call from my mom.
Figured out 3 things at the tournament today:
1) I fail at Brawl.
2) Even more so at Olimar.
3) Olimar fails in doubles.
4) I fail even more in Brawl.
5) I am asian; therefore, my numbers are always correct.
Had fun, though I was hungry as hell.

Blissard! Don't take it hard man, it was your first tournament; idk about everyone else, but my first tourney went exactly like yours did. I did horribly and thought I was god awful at the game, and maybe I was, but the most important thing to remember is that it was your first tourney. It only gets better from here, especially if you keep practicing with wifi. And get a GC controller
As far as my reflections on the day go, I lost a lot, but I gained much much more
I'm finally starting to play the way that I used to during the summer as opposed to some Oli zombie, and that made me really happy.Highlights:
- Nearly beat Allied's Snake. I would have if I hadn't fallen for a silly gimp on my second stock (and even then I got him to mid/high percents on the last stock)
- Remembered how to fight against Marth...kinda
- Met Blissard. Fun times
- Played a good Bowser and got more familiar with the matchup
All in all it was a fun tourney. Like I said, I lost a lot, but I was just so happy that I was finally becoming myself again that it didn't get me too down ^_^

I had a Subway hoagie after the tourney, and walked around for 15 minutes to find the train. And Izumi was the coootest thing with the neko ears and Toon Link plushie.

Vocal you actualy did good with Marth (both Marths that you played), but you died against Olimar's wife (both as well).
Edit: Vocal I lol'd that I got a higher placing than you.

origimar gave me really good luck in a set when i accidentally chose him.

Marth isn't that difficult conceptually because he's very straight forward, which is why I can handle him a lot better. TL, on the other hand, has a ton of tricksies up his sleeve and I haven't played enough good TLs to really know how to best fight him. It'll come with time
