This thread made my day.
Although ouch at the old video of me getting wrecked by Fenrir... I'll sift through some of my more recent stuff (there's like a bazillion Roy vs Link videos of mine up) and post some of the highlights.

Also, The GW I play against is Renths, and the Roy vs Link game links to Roy vs Zelda on Pkstm.

Great work though!

When is one of us going to be made mod?

Also Sethlon I'm thinking of adding in stuff to my guide to try and highlight the different methods of using Roy, so i'll need some input from you eventually.

Ah, thanks. I put all this up at like 12:30 last night, so I'm not too surprised i made a blunder here or there. I'm up for contributing to roy guide stuff, get at me sometime next week

I sifted through the huge amounts of stuff we put up from the 14th of Dec last year, it's the most recent stuff vs Link I have, and I tried to include a variety of levels. Just take the space out of the initial URL bracket and copy paste them into the thread.

Those dittos were madd fun. Me and a bunch of people were playing friendlies with Neo then Ninjalink comes over and it turned into the Roy TV. Even Sensei came with his Roy. Good times.

holy crap HazZarD! I don't even remember playing those matches...which makes a lot of sense considering how hard you beasted on me. Good ****.

Edit: We talked and HazZarD doesn't think we played and I have never met him before, nor think we played. I would have talked to him more after getting wrecked that hard (I would have talked to him more either way >_>).

reed kind of invented a move when he is against fox when he DED to kill fox. he is the only one i have seen using it.

you that is opponents werent that great but there are some guys i never heard of before that are there, can you explain me why please?

Seth, in your first match vs P in the first set you got grabbed way more then in the second two. What exactly changed between the matches that made you get grabbed less? (i cant really see any significant changes in style(s) between the matches :/... am i missing something?)

No hate on tactics that work. The important part is Sethlon figured out a tactic which P could not beat, and abused it to the fullest. If P can't get past CC dtilt, why should Sethlon change his style up? If he needed to, he could (Sethlon can be far more dynamic against sheiks.) Playing slow does not mean playing bad. Look at Azen. Heck I'm a slow player as well and I pretty do well for myself.

Sethlon, you also exposed what P does poorly, very well done.

The difference between the first and second matches in the first set is Sethlon's positioning. Watch the Pkstm match again, he spends a LOT of the time underneath one of the platforms where Sheik can't approach him in the air. (Not that sheik is any good at that anyways.) In the second BF match, P seems to have forgotten the things which were working in the first match. He tightens up his gameplay in the second match and never opens back up again on for the third. Between shutting down that aspect of sheik's game, and spacing better in general in the later matches, Sethlon begins to crush P. This is why Sethlon is the better smasher.

a tactic should not work for 4 games in a row. that shows an opponent who can not deal with a simple tactic such as CC when it is blatently obvious. he didn't grab to counter the CC which is like the easiest thing to do with a character like shiek.

IMO it shows a very low skill shiek

Ripple, if you're close enough to get CC grabbed after a dtilt, you aren't spacing your dtilt far enough away.
He was getting his running attack crouch canceled a ton because I wasn't letting him in range to grab. If he had spent the extra time rushing in a little further I would've just dtilt/wavedash/roll away.

EDIT: Wow, a little late on the bandwagon, but... Sethlon's really good @_@

EDIT 2: Those matches were pretty ridiculous, right down to the tires don exits match at the end. Man, Sethlon makes Roy look viable.
