Dang it, I accidentally editted out the Diddy Kong/Sakurai joke.

Well, here it is again:

Sakurai: I was browsing some Western forums to get an idea on what my Western fans wanted for Smash 4, and I saw many things, however, one thing in particular that stood out in my mind was this user named Diddy Kong whose favorite character seemed to be Sheik. Now I don't know what he was particularly saying about Sheik, but since he kept bringing him up all the time, I think she must be like his favorite character. I thought it was funny that a user named Diddy Kong liked Sheik so much. So, I've been thinking, Sheik must be so great an addition, I should not only bring Sheik back (I originally had Impa planned), but I should bring back my idea of Toon Sheik. I hope I made that Diddy Kong very happy. *laughs

That would make Toon Sheik the first original Smash character as a playable. I don't think he will ever revisit Toon Sheik though.

There's a reason she wasn't added, and I don't believe it was just time constraints. I actually would love Tetra solo or a Toon Zelda / Tetra combo. She is the embodiment of Sheik. Which seems to be a semi annual reaccuring LoZ plot. She's the fighter side of Zelda. I mean, this side of her doesn't ALWAYS show up, but she does. In Twilight Princess, Zelda is much more of a fighter without an alter ego, so, in a sense Zelda was Shelda in that game. Zelda's duality is something that's pretty important to the LoZ franchise, and thus Smash. Whether or not Sakurai added Sheik for that purpose, is a different story. Also, I don't consider Tingle, Epona, or Impa MAJORLY important, but they should get a shoutout when discussing important Zelda characters. (All three aren't as important as the Sheik/Tetra/fighter side of Zelda)

Epona is single hoofedly the most important character in the entire Zelda multiverse. How DARE you simply disregard her as a mere horse?

I'd call people's bluffs about certain characters getting in/being omitted leading them to not buying the game but I have no way of enforcing that... well, at least not yet.

I think a lot of controversial characters (e.g. Tingle and Waluigi) would definitely be rad to play as. It's just that these controversial chars are not really important and would definitely make it seem that there really are no more IMPORTANT characters to add. And yes, I'd still buy the game (assuming I find the gameplay worthy of my money) even if those two get in. I might even main them if they're appealing enough to me, lol.

I don't really like it when video games have cute enemies. :/

What's even worse is when I was younger, I had a hard time playing video games where you have to kill people. For example, one time with my friends I was playing James Bond for the N64. I was playing this mission where there's a bunch of enemies, so I was running around, but I didn't want to shoot them. And my friend was like, "Just shoot the damn person!" I was like, "No, I don't want hurt anyone!" or something like that. Yeah, I know it's just a video game, but I...I don't know...Not quite sure what the topic is as of now lol.

Chrono had a great moveset a while back in which Tingle was SSB4's Dan Hibiki, but I'd only ever want to see that in Smash because it's a Dan Hibiki equivalent, not because it's Tingle himself.

I made a Tingle moveset quite a while ago as well. It is rather outdated, though, and I'm not sure if I want to take time to revamp it or not...

After hearing about Sakurai's injuries, I predict that this will be the last Super Smash Bros. game that Sakurai would direct. Someone young and new should direct the franchise as of Smash 5 since it's a cash cow and knowing Nintendo they wouldn't give up on it that easily (new console is already in the works).
