Characters in red are secret.

To ammend for the lack of veterans, some newcomers are clones.
Ridley is not included because HE'S TOO BIG!
No third parties due to time constraints.
More villains playable.
When interviewed, Sakurai said this was the new direction the game needed, followed by laughs.

Truly a Nintendo All-Stars roster.

Didn't really care for that season as much. It's not bad by any means, I just don't have as many fond memories of it.

Only watched part of Season 5, didn't find it all too interesting, didn't like the plot, the Agumon retread, and seeing the Royal Knights act as bad guys. Would definitely watch Season 6 solely for this moment, pure nostalgia.

Also, Micaiah's alt could be either Light Sage, Queen Micaiah, or Awakening. It doesn't matter but Light Mage would be the main.

Also, Meta Ridley make sense too (over Other M Ridley who is the main )

One question. Some of you wanna see your characters get in no matter what. Even if they end up as clones...

So then, why do you wanna see them get in so much over more original alternatives? Couldn't they get in as Alt costumes if that's the case? Also, worst case scenario why not just instal a texture hack? I mean, how does a mod differ from an official includion in this case? I don't quite comprehend why people are so hellbent on inclusions even if it means clones, you can easily get your wish with a simple mod. Especially since none of you play tournaments and stuff. You only play with your family, thus modded matches are no big deal.

Like Kuma, I've already said that I'd rather not see Lyn get in if justice isn't done to her potential. Forget as a clone even if she's original but uninspired, I'll pass. I look at gameplay first and foremost vidya are supposed to be fun.


I mean, it's funny most of you want Brawl with the lost vets and some fresh faces, but that game already exists, it's called Brawl+.

Like Dark Pit for Pit, Roy for Marth, Saki for Isa, and Adult Isaac for Matthew.

I think the problem is that you're pretty much wholly wrong, nobody wants Brawl with the lost vets and some fresh faces. They want a new game >.>

No offense (I really don't) but a lot of people here seem to wanted an extended game and not SSB4.

Reason being, they want everyone kept from Brawl's roster and the returning character who missed from it.

Keeping the entirety of Brawl's roster is a universally agreed idea.

I understand, and it would be nice, but it keeps the roster from getting a good amount of newcomers (one thing people look at for each Smash, the characters they could not play as before).

Especially since you can't change everyone's' move-sets up a whole lot to make them much different, and feel new.

Because I like the character. Simple as that. I want what I like, regardless of moveset. OF COURSE I want my characters to have original movesets, but, even without one, I want them nonetheless.

Shortie knows what's up. Yes, while it would be preferable if a character got in if they were unique as possible, I don't think its worth throwing a temper tantrum if they end up like another Wolf/Lucas. The main reason I think Toon Link was more "cloney" than those two was because he was basically an updated Young Link.

I think if we get any "clone" newcomers for Smash 4 they will be more along the lines of Wolf/Lucas than any Melee clones.

And even then, I think Smash4 "clones" will be EVEN MORE less cloney than Melee. Brawl's leap in decloning speaks something for Sakurai's thoughts on complete clones.
