Well, I was really excited to have Sonic in the game. Even without knowing about MGS at the time, I welcomed Snake's inclusion in Brawl, too.

Regardless, the Pac-Man fans basically have less than five months until they know whether their character will be in Smash 4 or not.

I think the Pac-Man fanbase might explode and become more vocal if he wasn't revealed in the trailer.

I was excited at the thought of Sonic being in, because I knew they wouldn't go overboard with it, and Sonic would be the only Sega character included. I support Pacman and Megaman.
And for Sonic being removed. That sounds like a horrible move, he was included due to popular demand. Taking him out would cause SO much ****

I would agree that if a Namco character, like Pac Man, were added, it would appear in the E3 trailer. It just makes sense to me. I figure if Namco wanted a character, they'd show it off quickly. Just my opinion.

More like heavily demoralized. The naysayers will get much louder, and Pac-Man's popularity is a shadow of what Mega Man's is, and even Mega Man is not up to Sonic levels for requests.

Neither really strike me as neccecary actually. Mega Man maybe moreso than Pacman, but the quality of both games have been declining for a long time. They really don't stand out much anymore. I really don't like the idea of more 3rd party characters in anyway. Snake is cool, Sonic... Well he can stay, but more? No thanx.

I know this topic has passed, but I was busy today and I wanted to respond to this.

Who are you to judge us of our drinking preferences? Some of us want to stay pure, sure, but most of us have different reasons for choosing not to drink. I have very personal reasons that will never be disclosed to anyone for why I will not drink outside of occasional glasses of wine. My other reason is that I'd like to stay fit and keep my mind and spirit in good condition. I'm very content with my water, tea, and occasional soda, smoothie, or energy drink.

I couldn't give a rat's *** if people drink normally or not. To most people, I'm anything but normal so me actually drinking would be very surprising. You're the fool for thinking we're ninnies or wimps for choosing not to drink. And if normal people would jump off a bridge, would you do it?

Yeah, I can see a 3rd party adding some personality and uniqueness to the roster as well. A lot of characters have the potential. Like Mega Man, he's like a cute little robotic boy. Or Pac-Man being a cheerful guy that likes to eat. I mean, have you seen him in Pac Man 2: The New Adventures? The dude eats a freaking apple, and he's like on cloud nine. Jeez, those apples must be good stuff or I don't know.

For me, Snake added a lot of personality to the roster. At first, I thought his inclusion was kinda weird, but he grew on me. But then I always find it hilarious when I play him. Idk why. Maybe because I view him as being super serious, which is a nice contrast to some of the wacky/cartoony characters. Something about that contrast clicks to me. I don't think I would be laughing as much if Snake wasn't included.

This lists out Pac-Man's abilities. Pac-Man is capable of doing the following:

Punch - who knew? this can be A+A+A with the third A being Flip Kick
Flip Kick - maybe Aerial Up+A
Pac-Dot Shoot - shoots one Pac-Dot, maybe neutral B
Super Pac-Dot Shoot - charged version, shoots 10 Pac-Dots, maybe used after throwing enemies like Mewtwo shooting shadow balls at enemies after throwing enemies
Rev Roll - maybe Side+B like Jigglypuff's neutral B move
Butt Bounce - Down+B
Triple Butt Bounce - input Down+B three times in a row, getting higher with each bounce
Steel Body - can be his shield (L or R)

Not mentioned in the page - Pac-Dot Chain - which can be his Up+B recovery move where you draw a trail of Pac-Dots for Pac-Man to eat, this was in Pac-Man World 2

As for Final Smash, it's simply eating the Power Pellet and becoming a giant langolier and KOing enemies when he bites them.

I have nothing to say about 3rd party characters except that I liked the idea. I think 3 is almost overkill already with the suggested size of the next games roster. But 3 is a good number.

I really hope Nintendo releases GCN games on the Virtual Console. I'd hope they'd display in HD and widescreen. Even if Nintendo does that and doesn't attempt to optimize the games for that. Star Fox Adventures and Assault would look so great. ESPECIALLY Adventures. Still the best looking game on the console imo. Super Mario Sunshine would be cool, too. Also... Omg Animal Crossing yes. Despite actually being an N64 game that game looks BEAUTIFUL in HD!

ROB = robot.

Robot = Terminator, droids, and lasers

4chan is claiming to have leaked info on the next CoroCoro magazine, describing a new Pokemon that is to appear in the Genesect movie (and thus, be the "poster" Pokemon of the 6th Gen)
Granted, it IS 4chan, so prepare the bucketloads of salt. (I found this as a repost on Serebii forums).

This information was sent to me from a correspondent in Japan, who has obtained early information on what the next issue of CoroCoro will obtain, which focuses on Movie 16. This is a transcript of the information he provided me with.

First off, CoroCoro this issue mainly focuses on the star of Movie 16 alongside Genesect, the Superman Pokemon "Duskaman". Duskaman is the romanized name that appears in CoroCoro (and will probably be similar to the English name like previous stars), and its raw Japanese name is Dasukaman (ダスカマン). Here is the information CoroCoro provides:

Species: "Superman" (Choujin ちょうじん) Pokemon.
Type: Dark/Fighting
Height: 1.9m
Weight: 78.4kg

My correspondent describes it looking very humanoid, with its main stream-lined body being mostly black apart from its white face, white hands, and white feet, and the front of its chest which has a red circle on its chest and another red crescent below it. It has horns on its head which fold back in a "V" shape, and it has a red Mohawk that comes from the back of its head and crosses between the horns and sticks out in the front. It has rather dull looking eyes, semi-circles with little black pupils in them. Finally, it has two red streamers coming from its back that resembles a scarf, but another picture of Duskaman shows that they can transform into wings.

There is official Sugimori Art included, showing it striking a "Henshin"-style pose, and pictures of it drawn in anime form, including one showing how its scarf transforms into wings. There is also artwork showing it in winged-form flying away from the Genesect Army, as well as Ash and Iris riding Charizard and Dragonite and battling alongside him. CoroCoro talks about how Duskaman is the "night savior of the city", and appears in a flash of crimson red to battle against the leader of the Genesect. There seems to be a connection between the two Pokemon as they're both described as being crimson red. The new title is roughly "The Extreme Speed Genesect X Superman Duskaman (神速のゲノセクトX超人ダスカマン). The X is actually shining blue, resembling the Pokemon X logo, interestingly enough, while Genesect and Duskaman's names are colored red.

Next issue promises more information on the film, and hints at revealing another Pokemon (unknown if it's in the Movie, the Mini-Movie, or X/Y).

In terms of X/Y information, this issue is very sparse apart from showing the official artwork of the male and female protagonists, and some more screen-shots of them walking around the Paris-styled town, including visiting what appears to be a museum, standing atop the Eiffel Tower-like structure showing a nice view of the region, and walking alongside a beach. There's also a look at the new battle screen, which shows the HP Bars now appear on the bottom screen with little Boxsprites of the Pokemon next to them, and there's two new buttons available as well on the menus which is "Call" and "P-Link", although it doesn't explain what these functions are for yet. There are a few new battle pictures of the Starters battling, and also shows that Spoink and Paras are in.

If this ends up true, which it probably won't, would you guys be ok with this thing as a 6th Gen rep?

I'll take it with a grain of salt, but as it stands it sounds like a sort of Kamer Rider/Ultraman Pokemon.

In which case you can be sure it'll be hella popular in Japan.

Though he might be a Captain Falcon clone.

You know, I've always wanted some pokemon based on super heroes. I remember years ago I've made a fakemon trio based on Marvel heroes: Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Wolverine lol. But yeah, we'll just have to wait on this one. But I'd like to see Mewtwo get in first as well.

Got bored and actually was able to Google a link to that 4Chan thread, looking through it, I'm calling this one a fake. It's way too early for Corocoro, the issues themselves usually come out the 2nd/3rd week of each month, the last issue came out two weeks ago. How they obtained the "info" is also a tad too sketchy.

But like always, it's better to wait on Serebii to call this one. The Pokemon, design wise, sounds kinda boring if you ask me.

You could just post a link... I know the links expire, but those with 4chanX get redirected to the archive, it might make your life easier.

Anyway, I checked the catalog and noticed it's on /vp/, a claimed Corocoro leak. I say there's a 30-50% chance of it being true considering the source. /vp/ is notorious for getting early leaks of things. They got the JP Roms of B/W and B2/W2 12 hours before official Japanese release, so them getting Corocoro leaks isn't far-fetched. On the other had, clever trolls are nothing new, so yeah.
