I couldnt agree more specials like gdorf and zeldas look cool but there quick cheap thrills like a hooker down a pub alley.
Again, give everyone a super transformation, and a super attack, and have different smash balls for each kind of attack.

And the reason why ultimately you couldn't do two final smashes at the same time was due to the Wii's poor processing. Once you hack Brawl, you realize that if you have two Final Smashes at the same time, everything is laggy as hell.

With the WiiU and it's far superior processing power (especially without a WiiU Pad), you don't have to worry about a lack of processing of that kind of think.

Thus, hopefully in Smash WiiU (and maybe 3DS), we may yet be able to do epic battles between Giga Bowser, Super Jetpack Diddy (let him use more moves!), Dragon Yoshi (rock the dragon!), Landmasters, Octopus G&W (with more moves=???), Wario-man, Psycho Laser ROB, Super Sonic, and hopefully many more commence!!! Maybe it could even be its' own game mode!
EXZACTLY!! MOARR CUSTOM OPTIONS

loadss smash balls infinte smash ball timer all that jazz!? Frigging Meta Ridley Vs. Giga bowsee yhhhhhh white stain pants 2nite.

Also..it be dumvb if your both just invincible and like no knockback..ahh this game could be best game evaaa but i know they wont do half the **** we have mentioned on this whole board.
Meta Ridley? No, OMEGA RIDLEY MY FRIEND!!!

And yeah, that's why I mean a Final Smash transformation shouldn't be invulnerable to other Final Smash transformation characters, and they should be able to KO each other. That way, we can see who is better: GigaZilla, or Diddy and his Jet Packs Kong... or the Landmaster! :shades:

Speaking of which, I know the best thing ever to do in Melee!

Do Giant Melee, choose a character (preferably not one of the 3 or so lightest characters), turn items on (any ratio), only have on super mushrooms, and choose Brinstar.

If you get the Super Mushroom, and you fall in the lava with this on, you will literally drown on the lava. It is the greatest thing ever, and it never, ever, ever, ever, ever gets old. It is one of the most rewarding ways to KO someone ever!

So WALUIGI TIME? You got to have the WAAAAAAA blood flowing in your body just to survive the onslaught of PURPLE BEING A COLOR.
All in all, Waluigi Time is a dark power that tells the opponent You suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

The best part about that one is I learned it at a tournament a few months ago from some of the best players in the world! It figures: only the best players could come up with the most awesome ways to screw around in the game! :chuckle:

Also, this is what a Waluigi "Final Smash" actually looks like! :awesome:

I love to do the gaint battle Brinstar. But usually with all Bowsers. It's like an easy way to get the Heavy Damage(?) bonus.

It's most fun to replay the event match that summons only legendary Pokemon when you throw a pokeball, despite Wobbuffet being among them.

My reaction to when Smash 3DS and WiiU come out (if they are anywhere near as close to as awesome as I hope they'll be):

I love to do the gaint battle Brinstar. But usually with all Bowsers. It's like an easy way to get the Heavy Damage(?) bonus.
Doing it with Super Mushrooms makes for some of the best deaths. But for real, I think it was either Mario, Fox, or Samus who had the funniest deaths. And by funniest, I mean the slowest, and most grueling!

Well, goodnight all. Just one last final smash note: Instead of puff-up, Jigglypuff should have a big song number that puts everyone to sleep. Then, she becomes so powerful from her anger that she can one-hit KO basically everyone.

Nice idea. Maybe she can even graffiti on their faces like in the anime. :D

Why go for a crummy ball gimmick and not just go for meters?

It would be fairly difficult to come up transformations for everyone - try the Ice Climbers. What might be worth considering would be something like BlazBlue's Overdrive.

Overdrive is a new system introduced in BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma that replaces the Gold Burst from the previous games. Ovedrive builds up over time, after which it is activated by pressing A+B+C+D. Overdrives increase attack power and grant character-specific benefits. Its duration depends on the character's health, generally lasting from about five to fifteen seconds, with more time being added the lower the HP amount. When used, Overdrives freeze the stage timer.
This one is more open ended with what you can do as it's kind of like a powered up state and what you get varies for the character. Rachel and Valkenhayn have their specific meters fill up quicker; Makoto doesn't have to charge her Drive attacks, Bang's Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan Distortation was made his Overdrive; etc.

Why have a crummy meter system when you can have a crummy meter system and a crummy ball gimmick! :troll:

But for reals, I just want a Final Smash Transformation Battle Mode. That'd be cooler than Mike Tyson tap dancing on a giraffe's head. :shades:

Is Zozoark STILL getting a shot into the game?

Considering the new pokemon is out this year

Surely Sakurai knew about the pokemon ahead of time.

I'd say Zoroark would still have an outside shot if there's no real Lucario/Zoroark equivalent this time, and no feasible Pokemon that Game Freak would want to promote or suggest for Smash. I do agree that his chances have been fairly diminished though.

Its pretty much a waiting game until February to find out the first major Pokemon of Generation 6, since one will likely co-star alongside Genesect.

We will likely see two 6th-generation Pokemon promoted for the upcoming Pokemon movie:

1. A new evolution for Eevee (the Pikachu short for the 2013 movie will be about Eevees and they have been hinting a new evolution for Eevee).

2. A major 6th-generation Pokemon starring in the movie alongside Genesect.

The latter one is the one that is most likely to be made playable in Smash 4 (assuming its something that could be feasibly made into a playable character). Sakurai very likely has already seen it, so its inclusion would come down to more along the lines of The Pokemon Company's insistence and/or Sakurai believing this Pokemon would be a character Smash fans would really like to play as.

The movie won't hit until July 2013 in Japan, so any sort of fan reaction to this Pokemon (beyond just pure aesthetics) will be at a point when the roster will probably have already been finalized. The rest of the world will be exposed to this Gen 6 Pokemon even later.

In terms of popularity, the only Pokemon getting in on that merit will be Mewtwo. The 6th-generation Pokemon's only shot will be from The Pokemon Company asking Sakurai to include him/her/it, and/or Sakurai taking a liking to this new Pokemon despite players not having yet been exposed to him/her/it and thinking it would be a character players would really like.

all this recent pokemon talk reminds me of another incident closer to Brawl with Fire Emblem.

Radiant Dawn as i recall was out for a whole year whilst Smash 3 ie Brawl was in development
however rather than us getting the buffed up Ike, we got something closer to FE9. And rather than us getting Miciah or Sothe for an assist we got Lyn instead. which was 4 to 5 years ago.

I may be a bit sketchy on the details but i remember Radiant Dawn helping me put up with the wait for SSBB. Remember Aussies also had to wait an extra 6 months for Brawl. Better not but i guarantee it will possibly happen again.

I'm just saying could happen it could be ignored completely. And he goes with whatever genearation is out now. Chances are they're finished with the organised roster and now they're putting everything else in. I don't know how it works, but i imagine Nintendo would really be pushing Sakurai to have it finished in the next year or so.

In my opinion we got FE9 Ike over the buff FE10 Ike simply because it was Ike's first iteration into the Smash Universe and it seemed more logical for him to be in his "original" appearance. Also, he was the only protag in FE9 and he Co-Starred in FE10, so FE9 was more his game than FE10. It was more of "what would be the best for his first appearance," rather than "FE10 came out too late."

If Ike comes back for Smash it's likely he'll get one of his new redesigns (be it the FE10 look or the ****ty DLC look) as his look in Smash.

As for Lyn being an AT in Brawl over Sothe or Michaia. That's just out of raw popularity. Lyn had a lot of support for Brawl as many people wanted her to be playable, but since apparently we were gonna get 3 FE Lords with Marth, Ike and Roy, I guess Sakurai felt it was overkill to add another one, but wanted to please the fans so he made her an Assist Trophy.

Back in the Brawl days, Ike and Lyn were the two most wanted newcomers from Fire Emblem.

Idk if anybody has mentioned this but there are 2 characters i would LOVE to see in SSB4.

These being~ 1) Bowser Jr (with the paintbrush!!!) and 2) Amateratsu from Okami. I mean comeon, Okami was a HUGE hit for Nintento, and a great RPG. I could totally see me playing as her instead of Falco if they added her.

Just my 2 cents but...i can dream right??? :)

I really don't think Sakurai is just going to add more characters in the last minute just because they will be new (as in they will be in new upcoming games for 2013) if he's already finalized the SSB4 roster unless they are going to be last-minute clones or they are getting in as unique characters at the expense of unfinished/planned characters, a la Sonic and the Forbidden Seven in Brawl.

If a 6th gen Pokemon gets in SSB4 just because it will be in Pokemon X/Y coming out in October 2013, then it will either be a last-minute clone of another Pokemon who were already added in the game since the beginning of the development period OR it will be an unique character who took up Sakurai's time/resources at the expense of Sakurai not finishing other characters he had planned to add in the game.

What makes you say that? It's very likely Sakurai has known about X&Y before us, and it's also possible that he's gotten a sneak preview at all the new Pokemon.

That aside, I do agree that a forced Gen6 rep could come at the cost of having other characters, simply due to resources. But what if the Gen6 Pokemon can be a sort of Mewtwo expansion? Similar play, but different moves (as a replacement I mean). I guess we'll get a better idea once the Gen6 posterchild is revealed.

Hey, what if the new posterchild is
Mewthree
?

Dark Phazon did you sleep already bro?

I just want Mewtwo. No excuses. Give him a 6th gen move instead of Disable and we're cool. :teeth: (they did this in Melee to, Jiggz and Mewtwo their neutral specials are 2nd gen moves, and Pichu was added later than them)

Despite my deep love of Blastoise, Mewtwo deserves the spot more.

Oh yeah, this is an idea I had before, and yes, it involves Blastoise: what if you could select just one Pokemon of the Pokemon Trainer, but you get the whole evolution line of THAT Pokemon instead of 3 from all? Example, pick 'Fire Pokemon Trainer' and you start as Charmander, working your way all up to the awesome (and hopefully revamped and better) Charizard. Similar to Bulbasaur and of coarse Squirtle, who'd become Blastoise.

The only real changes they needed to make is make a Charmander / Charmeleon moveset out of Charizard, and a Blastoise moveset based on Squirtle. Ivysaur and it's evolution lines are pretty similar and could even keep the same moves if they wanted.

This idea differs from my Pichu / Pikachu / Raichu idea because each Pokemon would evolve after taking a stock. Regardless if they get KO'd themselves (unlike Pichu).

I just really wanna play as Blastoise. Bear with me. :009:

I agree, you'd think that Sakurai would AT LEAST get a heads up about Gen 6. Even if he wasn't given a specific list of new Pokemon possibilities, you'd think he was told something like "Pssst... new generation is coming, keep a roster spot and some pokeball spots open".

This. That being said, it's also very likely Game Freak let Sakurai know who the poster child is going to be.

I still like the idea of optionally select Pichu on the screen when picking Pikachu so you could play as him. Under circumstances (like defeating your opponent) you'd transform into Pikachu, who would then be able to evolve into Raichu. While Pikachu when selected himself would not be able to evolve. Pichu would then be the ultimate risk character. While intentionally weaker than Pikachu, Raichu in return, would also be intentionally stronger than Pikachu.

Pichu would be awesome if implemented well. You cannot deny the raw potential of... DA PICHU! :pichu:
