Reigniting QLD Crews - GC vs Bris

Fair enough but you know why I'm getting really peeved about it. If you were a NSW player, then yeah sure, but you're doing that purely to troll us, and as I said, I'm sorry if you feel differently, but that's the way I, and everybody else is receiving it.

All I'm trying to do is encourage rivalry, and pride in one's own state. Even Syke was able to resist talking down his own state because he was able to understand that much. Please don't undermine my efforts to encourage the competitive smash scene in Australia.

If you want to talk about the fact that NSW may well beat us easily, take it to another thread.

Yes, there are more than those players, in NSW.

But no, I think I've got it called when I say our very best lineup would beat down NSW.
SD didn't say anything about winning. He just implied there's more to NSW than the four I mentioned.

Buut. I can't wait to get back into it in NSW and have them kick my *** so I can get better. I wish somebody else here in QLD mained Diddy so they could get better than me so I'd have someone to learn from til I beat them back.

Eventually GORDS will get better than me (if he isn't already) and we will have epic struggles for power.

Dw Vyse I know where it's at. I'm liking this reinvigorated State rivalry, especially since I live in the superior state Oh and I don't mean to sound harsh but I wouldn't put Gords in the NSW all star lineup just yet he got 3 stocked by Turtle on his own CP and Turt doesn't play the game XD That being said Gords' Diddy is coming along and would prob still own every other state

All I'm saying is that NSW would beat you according to stats. Don't like it? Not my fault.

he also can fight pretty much even with Chris, and I can take on vyse (Luigi's mansion rematch k go)
and sd is mad pro,, results speak for themselves at the dont come interstate crew battles me and sd took 7 stocks each. (that being said the other regions best players weren't there)

so shaya, tedeth, tcranter, meteor, fts, bjay, sd, and me/turtle for brawl crew,
as for melee I have no idea...

Judging from tournament results and what we've seen so far I don't think NSW has much to fear. Several challenging players, yes, but no OMG IMA GONNA GET 4 STOCKED situations. Oh and...

out of staters won that battle, it was pretty lol cause chris went last and ricky got him down to 1 stock and then shaya came in with marth and only just managed to beat him on his last stock.

lol fair enough. My point is that talking about how awesome chris went doesn't really prove much. Coool, you have a good player. So do we. When I think about the seperate states I don't focus all my attention on one player and assume that they will do everything.

also, SF2 johns are pretty much the same as "the vast majority of our good players weren't even in the state" johns, which I seem to favour at the moment. Referencing a crew battle where both sides weren't even playing with their best team seems a bit redundant.

So we have two sets of players to make up the two major crews. Gold Coast and Brisbane.

I think those two sets of players are Gold Coast will own you pretty balanced. From now until the end of time, I will employ Sieg's Stupid Rule (SSR...soviet russia?) "It's way better when it's players from opposing regions" and it's true.

The reason I'm pushing for this is so that it gives people something even more to play for. It doesn't matter where you rank on the scale, the strongest player is just as vulnerable as the weakest player. So it's all about being a team!

At many past crew battles, I've always pushed for draft crews without stopping to ask myself why. Crew battles are always, ALWAYS better when there's something on the line. Otherwise it's just two groups of people trying to beat each other for the sake of it, and that's wrong.

SO, get stuck into it boys. We have to come up with new names for each team, and to start talking about team dynamics, strategies, and general **** talk.


Firstly, Gold Coast has always been 'The Ward's' turf. So I think we stick with Ward, but make it something new and snazzy like Ward-EX (Street Fighter Style rofl). But I'm very open to ideas. Maybe something entirely new?

I've found that listening to songs and looking at their song titles is a good way to come up with names.

Also I vote our motto be 'Get some disrespect!' rofl.
Actually, I think a Ward history lesson is in order:
