well, if they don't its their loss :)
I mean, just 130 or whatever of those awesome jabs and the enemy is in ko potential, I think this will raise samus to top tier at least...
lol

wow

the NO HIT STUN(or next to no hit stun) is with ALL characters.

this is one of the MAIN reasons why people hate brawl.

Wheres tudor or rohins when you need them?

Hitstun applies to all characters, however, some characters have slower jabs that get completely screwed over by this at lower percentages and can be interrupted. I know Samus and ZSS both do.

Lemme just make sure I'm understanding this right. The no hit stun means we as Samus players can immediately get smacked out of our jab. Which is why this is BAD.

So is that line of reasoning correct?

this is the story of why I scream when I accidently jab snake or ike.

edit:
below 90%

edit2:
that is an approximation...

While on topic of Samus' jab. Jabbing Marth at low %'s allows him to fsmash you before you can do anything :D

Hay guys, afaik, Samus' jab comes out in 3 frames. A shield is put up in 2 frames. Instead of holding down the A button, you could just powershield (it's almost impossible to not powershield) and then punish with dtilt, screw attack, or something. It takes quick thinking to know what to do next instead of doing the same thing over and over again.

On a side note, this reminds me of SuperDoodleMan's Perfect Control video. Remember that one clip of Mario and Luigi alternating jabs? Good stuff. I think that had something to do with crouch canceling though.

i some times dream of this. but i cant allow myself. brawl is the future. holding on to melee only hurts the over all smash scene(in my opinion)
I'm so used to using the C-stick for smashes, that when I went to play Melee, it didn't work the same way as Brawl. That's an improvement in my opinion.

And this is why other fighting communities make fun of us.

There's nothing wrong with having 2 games being played competitively. >_> Why the **** is Super Turbo still being played?

This is truth. Not to mention third strike will probably still be played even though SFIV is out. And I'm fairly sure that the smash community is bigger, or at least comparable in size to the SF community.

People make fun of Smash Boards because Smash was never designed to be played competitively, and people here tend to take it super seriously. Compare it to Street Fighter 4, which is, and you get my point.

I mean FFS, there is a pretty good chance you'll trip into the forward Smash AND LOSE. This is why I can't take Brawl seriously competitively.

I'm not saying it doesn't take Skill, Smash takes tons of skill, and its nice to see the MLG use a console game that isn't FPS Special Olympics (Or Halo 3 as its more commonly referred to).

The vast majority of people that play Smash Bros play it as a fun multiplayer game, which is its intended purpose. As much as a competitive Smash Bros would own, its never going to happen, so until then enjoy fighting Metaknight's lagless attacks and tripping!

I'd love to see an Unreal Engine 3 powered Smash game that was rigorously balanced by top players with every characters.

People can knock Samus out of jab......or even kill her. Nice reward for hitting the opponent first, right? This is the nature of bad games.

I personally hate this game, I only like PT, lol.

I believe Marth's dolphin slash is invulnerable on frame 1 through 5 and hits on frame 5, so that could do the trick nicely.

Crouch cancelling was actually really overated. When you play a higher level player, staying in the same place after getting hit helps them more then you.

Completely agree with this, although i always used to Crouch cancel to stop combo's and instantly (it was literally instant) use a d-tilt to start combo's of my own.

This would only matter if the hitstun is = or > the cool down lag from the first Jab. I don't know whether or not it's true, just making sure false assumptions don't go out there.

Yeah, it's nice when it works, but it is punishable. I remember watching hugs play and if you look at his matches he will cc for a second just to take a hit he knew was coming and then hit back.

sheik is still fast enough to use jab cancels and mixup with jabs and tilts - her jab is useful - samus's are alright but she doesn't have a ton of variety to mix in XD
