Smash Ace
Machoke (from Pokemon Red and Blue)
Chance - 1%
There are way too many Pokemon in Smash Brothers already, and Machoke really doesn't have the popularity or relevancy backing him up. His evolution, Machamp, did appear Pokken Tournament, so Machoke could represent that, I guess? I just don't think he has a solid shot.
Want - 0%
We have more than enough Pokemon, and I'd rather have someone who could do something more interesting, like Stunfisk, Articuno, or Agumon. I'll pass.
Gamera (from Gamera: The Giant Monster)
Chance - 70%
I think people are sleeping on him pretty hard. I've heard arguments that he isn't a video game character, but, he appears in the infamous "Gamera: Daikaiju Kutyu Kessen" video game for the Game Boy, which is world famous for being the 1st video game to sell over 1 billion copies, which has only since been beaten out by Super Mario Brothers 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System and The iDOLM@STER 2 for the Xbox 360. I think just for being that popular he has a super solid shot, even if he isn't a video game character.
Want - ABSTAIN
It really depends on what they do with him. I can see them making him a Bowser clone, which I think would do him a huge disservice. However, if they can truly capture his essence of being an F-Zero Vehicle, I think he'd be a great pick.
Zelda (from The Legend of Zelda)
Chance - 100%
He's been in every Smash game since Smash 64, is the star of the 3rd biggest Nintendo franchise, and just had a huge success with The Legend of Zelda: Oxidation of the Uncivilized. There's no way he isn't coming back.
Want - 100%
He's Zelda. Cutting him would be a disservice to everyone. I'd love to see what they can do with a Oxidation of the Uncivilized-based moveset.
Kirby (from Kirby's Dream Land)
Chance - 1%
I literally had to look this character up. I have never heard of him before. I guess Mashed Potato Sack of Fries might choose him for the retro "WTF" factor?
Want - 0%
Why would anyone want him in this game? He'd float and suck. That's it. He LITERALLY sucks.
Jimmy Neutron (from Neon Jimmy-sis Evangelion)
Chance - 95%
Once again, I feel like some people might bring up the "oh hurr durr he isn't a video game character" argument. However, I feel like this is complete nonsense.
Look at this:
Jimmy Neutron has appeared in 16 DIFFERENT VIDEO GAMES. That is more than a lot of characters currently in Smash can say they've been in.
Take Ike for example. He's been in
Want - 100%
I think he has some of the most vast moveset potential out of any character in every form of media.
Don't believe me? Watch this and tell me if you still think that:
Also, I think we should put my boy Skeet in Smash. He's an extremely underrated character, and does the best job at acting as an 'antagonist' to Jimmy. It really is a shame they aren't in Smash already.
Bert and Ernie (from Sesame Street)
Chance - 1%
I'm really not seeing it. Not only are they not video game characters, but in most of the Sesame Street video games, Elmo or Big Bird has the starring role, not Bert OR Ernie. Like, I guess it could happen in theory, but Elmo and Big Bird should be of a much higher priority.
Want - 30%
They could be interesting Ice Climber-esqe characters, I guess? I'd much rather see Oscar the Grouch or Grover.
Tony the Tiger (from Kellogg's Cereal)
Chance - 95%
Iconic? Check.
Fighting game character? Check.
Worthy of standing alongside huge video game stars, like in Kellogg's vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Cereal? Check.
This guy is basically a shoe-in at this point. No one else really represents cereal as well as he does, and his cross-over with Super Mario Odyssey had one of the best metacritic scores of all time.
Want - 40%
He's ok, but I feel like he's a pretty boring pick. Give me my boys, Snap, Crackle, and Pop instead. They'd be a lot more interesting.
Jack Skellington (from The Nightmare Before Christmas)
Chance - 0%
He's not even a video game character. He appeared a few times in Kingdom Hearts, I guess? But even then, I really can't see them picking him over someone else more prominent and relevant, especially because he isn't even a video game character.
Want - 0%
I'll pass. I'd rather have an actual video game character, thanks.
Sam Undertale (from Undertale)
Chance - sans undertale
hey lois im in undertale now nyehehehehehehe
Want - sans undertale

Wingding (from Undertale)
Chance - 90%
I think Wingding has a pretty solid shot at getting into Smash this time around. Now, here me out. People have been clamoring for an indie character for a super long time. And guess what indie game has just recently caught the eye of Masahiro Sakurai?
Source
That's right baby, Undertale. Now, of course, Wingdings is probably the best character to represent Undertale for many reasons.
Reason #1 - He Likes Spaghetti
Now of course, everyone knows that Wingdings likes spaghetti. It's basically 99% of his character. As seen here:
Guess what game also has spaghetti in it?
What is that bottom most food I see? Why, it is spaghetti! That is the food Wingdings eats! How great. That means Wingdings will be in Smash.
Reason #2 - He's the Third Main Good Guy in the Game
In Undertale, you find Toriel and Sam Undertale before you find Wingdings. However, with some simple math:
Smash for Nintendo Switch is Smash 5.
Wingdings is the 3rd main good guy you meet in Undertale.
I rest my case.
The only thing really holding him back is that he is western and is an indie character. However, Undertale is apparently super popular in Japan, so it works out.
Want - 0%
I'm allergic.
Knack (from Knack)
Chance - 0%
He's not a Nintendo character, and he isn't very popular. Sorry buddy. You'll probably just have to wait this one out.
Want - 0%
I actually played Knack once. It's not very good. Plus, the guy looks like a blob of Honey Nut Cheerios. As I said earlier in my post, Tony the Tiger would be a better cereal choice.
Boss Baby (from The Boss Baby)
Chance - 10%
Now, normally I would say that he doesn't have much of a shot, because he's not a video game character. However:
Boss Baby was an Oscar nominated film. Now, I know that Sakurai is a big fan of the western animation industry, and it is most certain that he both WATCHED and LOVED the Boss Baby, just like millions of families across the world did. I think because of how much he enjoyed this LAUGH OUT LOUD ANIMATED COMEDY OF THE YEAR, he'll give him some consideration, despite not being a video game character.
Want - 70%
I think he would represent Dreamworks incredibly well. Shrek is overrated.
Troupple King (from Shovel Knight)
Chance - 5%
Why would an optional side character get into Smash before the main character? Makes no sense to me. Also, it certainly doesn't help that he's from a western indie game that isn't super popular in Japan. Although, I will give him a few extra percents, because I can't think of any character that fits into his silhouette as well as he does from the Smash trailer. Maybe Wailord?
Want - 0%
Indie characters do not have a place in Super Smash Brothers.
RIDLEY
CHANCE - 100 PERCENT
RIDLEY IS GOING TO BE IN SUPER SMASH BROTHERS FOR NINTENDO SWITCH BECAUSE HE IS THE COOLEST VIDEO GAME CHARACTER EVER AND SAMUS IS LAME AND METROID IS LAME BUT RIDLEY IS THE COOLEST SO HE WILL GET IN I KNOW THIS BECAUSE SAKURAI IS MY DAD AND HE TOLD ME THAT RIDLEY IS GOING TO BE IN THE GAME
WANT - 100 PERCENT
RIDLEY IS SO COOL HE IS JUST THE COOLEST CHARACTER OF ALL TIME AND NO ONE CAN BEAT HIM BECAUSE HE IS RIDLEY AND HE IS SO COOL AND AWESOME AND EPIC BECAUSE HE'S LIKE CHARIZARD FROM DIGIMON BUT IS COOLER BECAUSE HE IS PURPLE AND IS FROM SPACE AND HE REMINDS ME OF MY DAD
