Still though, anytime that I can add nominations and get things pass 100 is what I'm looking for. I can see the reasoning for a day extension though. There's a lot of topics to get done.

It is either this or a linear set of levels, I think having a world to explore with bosses like Great Cave Offensive makes sense since this is well, Sakurai's game. However we know too little about Spirits for me to be confident in this.

This just seems like a really fun idea encompassing multiple franchises into one world however if it is anything like the Great Maze I might get a bit lost... Also from the little bit of Metroid and Castlevania I have played I can say I enjoy those classics.

She's basically another Geno case, tho it seems Nintendo own the rights of her and the other HW OCs as well. Either way, I don't see her getting in, as she has yet to reappear in a new game which isn't an umpteenth port.

This herpes of a game has been the straw that broke the camel's back for me, as I was going to give a chance to a series I was a big fan of after how gigantic of a disappointment Skyward Sword was.
But then, the first trailer of this game alone backstabbed me as ever, with a spin-off game made for those fans, those never-shutting-up fans who kept insisting Nintendo to make this utter BS timeline coming true, to make a realistically-looking Zelda game, to put voice acting in Zelda games, and, above all, to make a female counterpart to Link.
And after that, this series started to get overmilked ad nauseam, from remakes to ports to pointless HD remasters to shovelwares to Breath of the Wild.
And since this day, I categorically refuse to play to any new Zelda game released after this one, as I don't want to take sides of this lunatic fanbase and the influence it succeeded to have on Nintendo.
And I honestly fear that, in a near future, Zelda will become to video games what Star Wars is currently becoming to movies.
Not quality-wise, oh no, but as I said above, quantity-wise, to the point it will alienate people's mind in order to demand for new Zelda games over and over again, until Nintendo will focus only on it and put away all their other ones, even Mario.
But going back to Lana, if she ever get added to Smash Switch, this might be sufficient enough to prevent me to get the game and to stay on Smash 4, unless there's one or many of my requested characters in.

Take what I said on what I think of Lana above, multiply it infinitely, and you basically get what I think of Linkle.

Yeah well the Rulebook of Assumptions dictates that One-shot Zelda characters can't be playable. Spinoff appearances don't count. Linkle being both a one-shot and spinoff means she's got no chance.

Outside of that, I enjoy Hyrule Warriors. Linkle is a fun character to play in that game. Although my preferences of the Hyrule Warriors OCs are Lana and Cia, I wouldn't object to Linkle's inclusion. I'd like for the Hyrule Warriors costumes be added for the Zelda characters in Ultimate. We'll see how that rolls out in the future.

From what I can recall, Nintendo is the owner of the character. Or at least, I recall Aonuma saying that they would keep her mind for future main series installments if she was popular enough, meaning they likly have full control of the character. I forget where I got that from though.

Beyond that, Hyrule Warriors is a spin-off musou, so it’s probably low in the spectrum of priorities for Sakurai (speaking generously). She’s also a Tecmo Koei creation, which might hurt her chances.

None of this is a death sentence, but unless she gains a ton of support she’ll never be in Smash.

Pros:
She has Link in her Name and Sakurai seems to like such Characters. Seems like the HW OC´s are owned by Nintendo and HW was a decent success for a Spin Off. With double crossbows she could be rather unique.
Cons:
Well, she is probably one of the least likely first Party Characters. HW is a Spin off, likely was too late for the Base Roster, has tons of TloZ Competition and isn´t even the most likely HW OC candidate (I´d say).

At this Point I just really want another TloZ Fighter (the Franchise really deserves it, it´s by far Nintendo´s third biggest Franchise (well except for the "Wii series", it still has the highest rated game on Metacritics and won the latest GOTY Award; and yet there are only kinda 3/4 different Characters from TloZ), as Long as it isn´t another Link, Zelda or Ganon/Dorf. Echos would be fine too, but I´d prefer an unique Newcomer. Now, I don´t see Linkle as a Link, her design, backstory, personality and abilities/weapon are all different from Link. Honestly, there are some TloZ Characters Closer to Link than Linkle. She was planned as a female Link or Link´s Sister, but she certainly isn´t anymore.
Personally, I really like any Kind of fast dual weapons and we barely have that in Smash (hoping for someone like Elma, Weavile, Monster Hunter with Dual Blades etc.). Furthermore, I can really relate to her horrible sense of direction. You could probably drive me 5 minutes away from home and I wouldn´t find back without Google Maps and 40 minutes of Walking the wrong way.
Though there are multiple TloZ characters I prefer over Linkle, such as Skull Kid, Midna and Lana.

BTW: Maybe she has a better Chance in a future Smash, it could be, that she makes it into the main TloZ games at some Point:

Yeah... not sure how I feel about this one. It is literally just a rule 63 version of Link made only for a spinoff of the Legend of Zelda, put into place only to appease the fans. There are many many more interesting choices than her to be a LoZ rep. Just because "she has double crossbows" doesn't mean we need 4 Links with one of them being a spinoff gender-bend. No thank you...

Oh yeah, did you all know that Smash Bros Ultimate is a thing? Yeah, and it releases in 50 DAYS. I personally thought that we might get maybe 2 more announcements from Nintendo with character reveals, but at this rate, it'll probably be only one announcement. My point that I'm trying to get to is that we are running out of time for newcomers in general. There's always DLC, but that isn't what is being rated in the RTC, unless explicitly stated " D L C ". There are too many more popular characters that are up for grabs for a roster spot, and the only character that Nintendo has implemented into multiple games consistently (besides Skull Kid) is Impa, who I feel will be our final spot (with Skull Kid being a boss, maybe. Or a character, but I wouldn't know.) Hyrule Warriors, not even developed by Nintendo, most definitely doesn't have that high of a priority in Nintendo's mind. And besides, above all else, Lana would come first, even though Lana is practically impossible anyway (and I don't want her either.) To cut to the chase...

She's not my favorite pick from Hyrule Warriors (that would be Ganondorf's HW design), but Hyrule Warriors was a huge hit and having some representation from it would be amazing. I think Linkle's a pretty likely option if more aesthetic costume options become a thing. She wouldn't be using her signature crossbows and would literally just be Link, but with a Linkle skin, similar to M/F Robin/Corrin/WFT/Villager.

I'd be happy with her dual-crossbow- and kick-focused fighting style in Smash. Hyrule Warriors created some pretty amazing attack animations for the entire Zelda cast and it is a shame that none of it has been seen in Smash. Costume-Linkle is also acceptable and I just want more cosmetic options in Smash to ensure a long and healthy lifespan for the game.

Hang on, let me just double-check her history first before I rant about waifubait-

It goes without saying that Sakurai is neither Tecmo nor Eiji Aonuma, but Linkle looks a lot like the textbook definition of a fan-ascended character. Compare that with everyone else who gets invented by Nintendo only to be promptly abandoned for the next title, no matter how much fan love they attract otherwise.

However, she's still a one-shot from a side-game, and would technically have to compete against Lana until she can show up in a different game. Add to that her relative recency, with Hyrule Warriors Legends coming out in 2016, and she's essentially just another hopeful who had the poor luck of showing up too late, with a fairly divisive public opinion behind her to boot.

If she goes ahead and Bandana Dees her way into the franchise, then whatever. That's still work she has to put in first before she really has a fighting chance against all the other Zelda one-shots.

Lana's in a similar position to Geno, in that she's an OC from a spin-off who may or may not have rights issues. However, she doesn't have legions of passionate fans.

One of the main complaints about Lana is that she really doesn't seem to fit stylistically with the rest of the Zelda cast. And she's a Mary Sue. And that literally anyone else from the Zelda series should be considered first, as they are actually main-series characters with their own equally powerful fanbases. I know personally, I'd take Midna and/or Ghirahim, plus about 3/4 of the remaining characters (and all four of the BotW champions - HW Switch DLC pls?) before I accepted this anime invader. Besides, if we did want to canonize a HW OC, I vote for Volga anyway.

I will say one thing about Rule 63 Link though that I can't fully hate - they did it well. Most rule 63 characters they come up with nowadays are there to be a younger, prettier, and all around 'better' version of the original - which usually leads to them becoming hopeless Mary Sues. Indeed, most of the time, the story will start with the new one meeting the older guy and immediately making him look like an idiot through the power of character shilling and the idiot ball.

Now Linkle is an interesting case since she's so far from being the female Link. He was forged into being a hero through trials, she was told she was and just went with it. He fights battles against the forces of evil, she can't work out how to get from point a to point b with a map. Her story in HW was actually funny in that she did a lot of pointless things and missed the entire battle - she got her spotlight, did heroic things, but they didn't upstage Link himself. Plus they use completely different weapons.

Only problem - they gave her the manchild (womanchild) personality that makes Tingle so annoying, and one of those was more than enough.

Still would rather get a canon Zelda character than a spinoff OC. But hey, Linkle's story also made Twili Midna important again. I'd honestly take Twili Midna as a Zelda echo above all others. The Zelda series doesn't need more clones, but I'll make an exception for her. But yeah, Urbosa's at the top of my list with the imp out. Linkle's about as far down on the 'Zelda reps I'd like to see' list as you can get.

And seriously, there's only one HW OC that needs to be canonized...

I've never thought of spin-off characters (unless you count Waluigi) as having good chances and that's especially true in this case since Linkle is still a pretty new character from a single, relatively new spin-off. Not to mention there may be disputes with ownership. I doubt she's strongly been considered to begin with and I don't think she's one anyone one the team would think it'd be worth having to go through the trouble of getting unless she had more demand or was personally requested by some of the developers of Hyrule Warriors (which would make it much easier, but still, we have no way of knowing if they have, and we have enough reasons to doubt it, and enough reasons to doubt her beyond that as well).

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Linkle (I only hate that laughably bad name they gave her) but she doesn't even come close to being a character I'd want in Smash. I don't exactly believe in slots, but even so, I'd want Skull Kid and especially Tetra way before ever getting her.Heck, I'd even take anyone of, or even all of HW's original villains. On that note, it doesn't have to be in Smash, but gimme some more Wizzro, Volga and Cia. Or at least Wizzro and Volga. Cia's story played out already, but those guys have backgrounds that aren't much explored and are great characters with yet more potential. They could be great as antagonists in a mainline Zelda game.

When it comes to getting more Zelda characters, Linkle is not the first one that comes to mind. Sure, she could represent Hyrule Warriors, but I think Impa would be better to represent that series instead. Plus, she came out way too late, in 2016 and that really hurts her in the long run. Sure, there's a chance that Sakurai might be aware of the character, but I don't think he's going out of the way to put her instead of the popular ones like Skull Kid or Impa.

If you want Hyrule Warriors content... they could put in trophies or ATs, maybe a music track. Additionally, a character like Impa or Skull Kid could have some of their moveset filled out with moves created for HW.

If you want female Zelda characters... there's Impa, Tetra, Twili or imp form Midna, Toon Zelda (ooh, Toon Zelda AND Young Zelda for complete redundancy), or even Fi, as better options. Ruto and Agitha would likely be heavily influenced by HW if they were included. There are also the various Great Fairies... Hell, put in Grandma from Wind Waker.

But Linkle? Meeeeeeeeeeeh.

If they've decided they're branching out beyond the Triforce holders, they wouldn't start with Linkle. She's more like bottom of the barrel. I'd be very surprised if she got in before Skull Kid, Impa and Tetra. And I'd expect Ghirahim, Yuga, a beast-form Ganon or Ganondorf revamp, or Vaati before Linkle as well.

I like the idea of a female protagonist in a Zelda game*. But straight gender-swapped Link would be a little lame, and Linkle isn't even that... she's just like, a confused girl who merely thinks she's the Hero.

*Consider that Zelda is wields the Triforce of Wisdom and has considerable magical power... and in Twilight Princess she's also portrayed as proficient with a saber. (Tetra is also competent in battle.) Zelda being able to fight would make sense, although certainly she would have a different set of abilities than Link. And after failing so many times by going after the Triforce of Wisdom first and being struck down by the holder of the Triforce of Courage... you'd think maybe Ganondorf would try a different approach sometime...

Technically, Zelda has been the protagonist of her own game before and in that game defeated Ganon, but ummm... those CD-i games were not good and are not canon.

I don't see us getting any Zelda newcomer who isn't Skull Kid or Impa. Especially not some OC from Hyrule Warriors who's in the same position as Geno, being a Third-party but not really. Hyrule warriors doesn't look like it will get any major representation, considering there were quite alot of people wanting Ganon's desing from that game, which didn't happen. Also I don't remember when she was revealed to be a thing but I don't recall her being a popular Smash request at the time.

Yep. I can't force anybody to do anything. I am just aware that Quote is a character with a relatively low fanbase/awareness base. If I nominate alone, Quote'll still pass the threshold. It's just going to be tight. Should have alternated capitals for that sweet effect of sarcasm. It was a request of vain. Kyo'll continue to be nominated.
