Falcon matches for you guys.

this is part 2 of that set I had with the AZ Power Ranked Snake player Match 2

vs. Peach

vs. Zelda 1, vs. Zelda 2, vs. Zelda 3, vs. Zelda 4
Vs Falcon: Too epic to judge

Vs Peach: Peach's aerials are pretty damaging and they combo into each other (well most of the time). They also have KO potential (fair). Never try to attack Peach from the top, her utilt/usmash are pretty strong
Falcon's utilt and uair work fantastic here (as you implemented pretty well)

Vs Zelda: Her Smashes and aerials are ******** :dizzy:
her fsmash and usmash last forever and she has a dtilt->dsmash combo thats pretty annoying
watch out for her lightning kick, its fast, powerful, and full of sparkles
Shields/airdodge is your friend here and greet her recovery with a Falcon PAWNCH :falcon:

Usually when I do try and use it, it's to read a shield roll, even though the damage and knock (depending on how close they are when I start the kick), isn't that great. All of the time no one expects the Falcon too, so I'll do it somewhat randomly too.

Lookin' pretty good Tommy. Just a little less Falcon Kick
This.
The Falcon Kick's crap Priority and Knockback are 2 of the main reasons it shouldn't be used until at higher %'s
Whereas it sends opponents too far away to be punishable, but on Low %'s, even if it does connect on the initial frames, it's not enough Knockback to render it a wise option for defense.

I guess I could use Falcon Kick a bit less, after re-watching the Luigi vid, I got punished once, and then right after I tried again and almost got UpB'd for it.

But when I'm High, I may forget this....

lol fail

Falcon Kick can go through MK's tornado and you say it has ****ty priority?

FK has its useful purposes such as evading an opponent's "personal bubble", countering high priority attacks (tornado, drill rush), overall punishing (wisely tho), and surprise offstage action (FK offstage for gimp/****)
I think it kills around 170% w/o proper DI, 140 with crappy DI ;)

Knee's ledge-canceled FK is pretty **** too :bee:

falcon kicks priority is **** LP
Well, sorry if i may be wrong, but this is what I read:

In Brawl, like many of his other moves, it has horrible priority and shieldstun, making it only good at surprise.
Just if you guys thought i was trying to come up with my own Priority list :o

Edit: I shut the room down? :0

my falcon is teh secks!
kind of hard to critique when the opponent is also bad >.>
I know this is wifi but I'll act as if its a srs buziness offline match ;)

okay, in a tourney environment, never play Falco on FD
Falcon's worst stage + Falco's best stage = 90-10 MU ggs get *****

spot dodging three times in the same spot is highly punishable and should be avoided

Falcon punch only if you know if its gonna hit (shield broken, uber lag attack, 4 teh lulz)

use more Bair, especially to kill, it looks like you have problems with killing

your gimp attempts are good, could be better

Also, you must Dtaunt 3 times after defeating a high tier

That is all. :falcon:

What I do is like, for example, go to Battlefield (or whatever stage) and just look for the point on the stage (usually somewhere near the middle) and Falcon Kick ledge cancel from standing in place, and then I'll move onto getting the FK ledge cancel from a dash until I feel pretty comfortable with it, then move onto a different stage. I also think there is a sort of landmark on most or all stages to help you remember where you can start the FK so that it will ledge cancel.

There are some spots on BF, FD, YI and Smashville I feel like I can FK ledge cancel fairly consistently during matches.

Everywhere else I just kind of eye ball it and hope it cancels, but only in friendlies.

If my Wii was working, I could make a sort of mini-guide on where we can FK Ledge Cancel. It would be full of pretty pictures.

Also, you must Dtaunt 3 times after defeating a high tier
My Falcon doesn't discriminate, it always dtaunts 3 times after anytime I do something **** to any tiered character. Also wearing a Falcon Helmet during matches is basically taunting the whole match IRL.

Such a guide already existed/exists.

But as when you hit an opponent with the FK, it travels a shorter distance, FKLC is only good for edgeguarding/mindgames, imo.

Oh, I've never really looked at all the threads on this boards, or on character boards in general. Nevermind about that guide then.

Yeah I think it's only good for those two things also. Especialy mindgames and especially high mindgames.

I've never really tried ledge canceling the FK after hitting someone with it. Sounds very situational, and if you misread someone, you'll FK off stage and then your in a bad situation.

Well if that's s2p no clue what he's doing there. His falco isn't that good though.
I watched one of the videos. I think I'll wait to help you more after I play you, because I can be the most help then. One tip though, don't knee while you're both onstage.
Oh and I can't play you until friday :(.
