I've come to the conclusion that most people in NJ are stupid. Arguing with them is too much of a waste of time and they resort to personal insults to get their point across. I've cut off friendships because of this ****, and I'm not enjoying it. Seth don't bash a game if you haven't played it. We've played both games and we can clearly see which is more fun. I'm not attending tournies in NJ anymore unless they have brawl+. Apex will probably be my last NJ tourney unless I get a **** doubles partner.

You completely understand why I don't like Brawl + that much. I really hate getting hit once to having 50 + percent giving to me. It's like once you learn the combo you can just go robot mode on people and give them extreme amounts of percent or straight up kill them.

If I want to play something like that I'd go play Melee which I'm never going back to. At least with games like Melty Blood and Blaz Blue combos nearly never take up even a quarter of the life.

Once you play Brawl enough, you realize that in most situations once you realize what to do you never ever ever do anything else because everything else is inferior. Example: Your opponent is above you on a platform shielding and you're Meta. There is absolutely no reason to ever do anything besides upair repeatedly through the platform and tornado at the end. In B+, after you HIT them you should go for maximum damage but you have more options in neutral so it's not smart to just do the same thing over and over again.

do u play fighting games? no offense, but fighting games generally have quarter life combo's. its actually harder to name games that dnt have 25% combos than it is to name ones that dont.

everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but i think combo's are essential to fighting games. its proper punishment for those who do sumthing stupid. it also makes matches not last ten minutes. it also allows u to play the game more than one way. take sf4 for example. u can rushdown with combos and pressure strings with chars like ryu/ken/viper, or u can turtle and poke using range, like blanka/dhalsim, or just wait for opponents to use a move and punish with priority, like boxer/dictator. thats one reason i hate brawl. some moron can cheese u with sum dumb move, and if u figure out how to get around that move, depending on who ur using, the punishment may be pretty pointless. ur really limited in brawl, to the point where it can become a semi button masher. just learn which moves have a ton of priority and little to no lag and spam the hell outta them. but hey, i dnt play brawl, thats just the impression i got from it when i did play for that week.

but like i said just my opinion. brawl is a mediocre, unspectacular fighting game at best. theres nothing really interesting about it, there's nothing that makes it stand out, except for the music, character selection, and to some degree the stages. but thats just me
