I took the tripping code off myself, and it works just fine. Should be able to record them tomorrow.

Nothing special though.

I'm going to start the next MU discussion tonight. I have school and work today so it will be late...or pretty early for Attila since Melbourne is like 14 hours ahead of Eastern Standard..lol.

I see no reason why we can't wrap up the 1st one while starting the second one. I mean we can wait to close the Wario boards though. I've no issues with that.

Running two match-up threads at the same time could be fruitful. Everyone might have more to say on it. Wish I could have played hunger more.

So I'm going to this Illinois tournament that ended up attracting like all of Midwest: West and Michigan lol. Hoping to use :snake: when I can. Very stoked for this event.

Can't wait what Gheb has to say about the Olimar MU :colorful:
lol I don't even know what's so special about it really XD

Just watch Havok vs Oli, Razer vs Rich, Kuroobi vs Brood and work from there. Razer / Havok are the only US Snakes that aren't garbage at the match-up imho because they don't camp more than necessary. I think a particular flaw of "lesser" Snake players is that they treat the character like a "grenade spamming tilt machine" to put it in DLA's words and against Olimar you'll get wrecked mercilessly for it. Against Oli you have to go for the juggle and punish his landings by getting him offstage or getting a tech chase in [seriously, if you do less than 30% from a grab chase + tilt you're doing it wrong and that's like 1/3 of Oli's stock].

But yeah, let's wait for the actual discussion before everybody's jumping on me!

Someone just uploaded matches from my first tournament back. It was literally like the same week I got home after being gone/not playing for two years. It's pretty interesting to see how smash never really leaves you, and once you've gotten habits and mind sets they'll always be there.

It's pretty good, considering the circumstances.

I do not really remember my matches with Hungar too much. I see him once every like 3-6 months depending upon when we have a tourney in this area.

Melee or Brawl, I still cannot decide which to commit too yet.

Hey I remember you. It helps when I was gone for two years too. All my memories are from the time when you left lol.

Good luck at your tourney. I'm going to my first OoS since being back this weekend.

I guess for Falco one neat little thing is that if you read their side-b you can just machine gun jab and it can hit them out of it. ^_^ Also when you throw a grenade at them if you just short hop and then throw it they will most likely just do a standing reflector(if at all) and then you can just strip it right next to them. I don't really know much about the Pika, and Ness mu. T_T

I hate Pikachu.

Camp hard for the first 60% or so, then move it. His dthrow cg works below 28% irc, but his fthrow cg works much longer, and can put you in a terrible position.

Don't momentum cancel vertically, cause you'll die from a thunder if you do. Wait for the thunder and airdodge; do anything else and you'll die anyway.

If his quick attack cancelling nearby, throw out random tilts.

Ps thunder jolt always, no excuse not to.

I would intentionally damage myself to avoid a CG if I felt like I was really bad at avoiding getting grabbed.

I'd rather play gay/smart and throw pineapples.

I'll still use that 09' tactic against Falco, but more platform camping the first 40%. As much as I attempt to avoid grabs, I always get hit by it eventually. Too many Falco's I have played seem to not care about taking like 100% of damage while trying to get the grab.

platform camping is a good way to do it if you're not confident in your ground defence.

at least you'll get a few hits in.

That's the main reason I do not think its worth trying to camp platforms against Pikachu. While you'll avoid guaranteed damage from CG at low percent, you'll still get plenty of damage from Dthrow -> Utilt/Usmash to aerial chases at mid percents.

Plus if your on fd or smashville it's just not worth it

(Sv he can get a cg that also puts you really far off the stage which is AWFUL and fd you can't platform camp anyways) so imo it's just worth the 17% >.> that like half a dthrow-->ftilt for snake so it's not even that bad lol.

Man I swear all my professors have conspired against me to make all my classes have tests this week.

Also Attila, I will soon have some news about the thing we discussed on Facebook. Sorry its taken so long to get back to you. But very soon, we'll be moving to the next phase :)
