Why is Toki so low after beating good people with Random?
beating people with random is legit, but the very definition of a power rankings prevents you from taking what characters people used into account.

Ok so I had Apollo up staying at my place 2 weekends ago, and I can safely say he would be above me on the next update. Only beat him once in a Bo5.

My thoughts on the next update:
1. Apollo
2. Archaze
3. Jesmo
4-6. Arrow, Toki, Blade (What order?)
7-8 Tiahn, Aero
9-10. Vyse, GrandJason, Zydro, Popdart, Not sure really.

Jaice removed due to inactivity, unless he comes back next tournament.
Kaion inactive also?
I would like to see how BC places if he comes to the next tournament too.

I don't want to be on the panel or run tournaments. Just here to play. Cal is around the 6thish position.

Really not sure about Cal, he has been placing very wierdly at the last few tournies. Very un-Cal like.

That's pretty accurate except I see no Vyse. I still think he's better than Tiahn but I don't know off the top of my head if results agree. Also while Blade has beaten me once, he hasn't proved himself against anyone else recently I believe.

RLG is coming up on the 25th this month so hopefully you all can make it as it will make the next update a lot easier.

Tiahn is higher than 10th, Arrow is higher than 8th, Kaion is too high on this list.

If you take away the fact that Toki plays random he is 4th, but he plays random, and hasn't placed well with it in a while. Sadly character choice doesn't come into the measure of the PR (i.e when I played Luigi and came 7th or better for 4 tournaments in a row and still didn't get on the PR). If Toki plays random and places below what he should, that is against him alone.

Take away MK and Arrow wouldn't place as high as he does either, or vyse.

EDIT: I suggest bringing tiers back for the next PR too. There is a gigantic skill gap in QLD now. At the last tournament I didn't feel like I was playing at all until I played Jesmo. I'm sure he would agree with this too but Jesmo is nicer than me and won't say it directly.

After looking back at placings etc, the PR looks a bit like this.

1. Apollo
2. Archaze
3. Jesmo
4. Toki
5. Arrow
6. Cal
7. Blade
8. Tiahn
9. Aero
10. Kaion or Vyse (When was Kaions last tournament?)

Is there an issue with discussing it in this thread? It's on topic, it needs to be updated, and thoughts and opinions from everyone can be shared here.

Here is my discussion as to why BC should be on the PR. He beat a number of PR players on Sunday, and I have a lot more trouble playing against him then I do against the majority of the PR from position 5-10.

My (preceived actual skill level) PR: Results not taken into account.

1. Apollo
2. Archaze
3. Jesmo
4. Toki
5. BC
6. Arrow
7. Blade
8-10 Cal, Tiahn, Aero, Kaion < Haven't played any of these 4 in a while, but Tiahn at last lansmash where she came third some how???

Just want to mention I beat BC and Toki quite comfortably in Saturday's bracket which probably doesn't count but it proves I don't belong right at the bottom of the PR. I don't mind being under quite a lot of people mentioned but BC hasn't beaten anyone I haven't in more recent brackets.

Amatuer bracket doesn't count sadly. (Why Jesmo, Toki etc were playing in the amatuer bracket is the real question).

BC beat Aero, who beat Arrow, and he also beat Kaion. He would easily beat Tiahn. Outside of that, he has only been to one tournament, which doesn't help his cause.

That list I posted is just my perceived skill from playing those players personally. Not necessarily people correct positions.

I'm fine with talking about it here.

Thoughts: Tiahn came 3rd at last LanSmash because hardly anyone was there.

BC did indeed beat me, but they were extremely close matches (he was visibly shaking after them, lawl).

I consider Cal to be of higher skill than I am, so I think Cal should be higher than BC.

Why is Arrow 6th? Was he not trying in the matches I played with him or something?

Putting BC 5th is probably a kneejerk reaction seeing as he's only been to this tournament in the last like, year, but I agree he should be on it.

imHo~

Like I said, the list is of my perceived skill.

If however we want to put results into it, BC actually deserves to be above Cal, because the tournament Cal attended was the same tournament Tiahn only placed well because no one was there. Cal came 7th or 9th.

The previous tournament Cal attended, he was beaten by Blade.

Given the PR is a ranking based on the previous 3 recent tournaments, I believe my kneejerk reaction actually has some grounds for a real result.

Edit: As for Arrow, and whether he was trying or not, the PR doesn't take into account sandbagging, or character selection. I assume however he did use MK against you Aero?

ALSO WHERE DID SMOKING PUPPY PLACE?

Yeah, well Blade is better than BC as well.

Arrow used MK against me, yeah. Both games were 2 stocks so that's why I'm assuming sandbagging if you legitly think he's that high. lol

I don't know where puppy placed, I think he placed 17th, or possibly 13th.

Again, from my experience, Arrow is a better player than the majority of QLD, but if results say otherwise, put him lower. He still beats Blade, and Blade isn't better than BC imo.

BC actually put pressure on me in atleast one match. Playing against Blade feels like I am watching the timer just waiting for the game to end.

Edit again: Although Arrow placed badly at this lansmash, he outplaced everyone behind him at the previous 2 tournaments.
