I've never had a steak from sizzler, but I have had the sliders, they were average. I'd rather spend the 30 bucks on a really good eye fillet steak rather than all that in one. But never tried a steak from Sizzlers so I can't comment on that.

Cao seems like the kind of person that would like to dine in a classy place. Should come down to goldcoast and well go to marina mirage somewhere. Not cheap though .

Fine dining is best done in my own time or with those who don't mind spending money, since I wanna eat good food with Smashers. I love the best cheap eats all the same. Urbanspoon is my friend and it seems to suggest most of the good places are in West End and all those inner city hoods.

I'm going to try going all-marth at Smash Play 3. After watching Mr. R's playstyle and Messiah he just feels like a very mobile character if you want him to be. Platform cancelling is the new waveland. Also continuous foxtrots from pivots is like Melee dash dancing but at least 4 times more technical.

In the mean time for these dates, if I go with SummerSmash (likely) I'm thinking two things.

1. Brawl and Melee will be separate days.
My reasoning for this is because:

a) The venue is isolated. It's isolated from everything else there is to do in Brisbane. Going to the tournament will mean committing that day to it unless you have a car. The point is that if you really don't see yourself entering one game or the other, you can go out and see Brisbane/Gold Coast on that day instead

b) No reason for hype for one game to be diminished by the other and vice versa on the days. Looking at tournaments like Apex, they don't share space - they are completely separated. Even the rooms are separate. Chastise me for it Cao, but I think this is how it needs to go. This is me catering for Queensland, though I think I explained that in Melbourne.

2. I can't actually remember what point 2 is, so deal with it

attila almost beat chris in that qld. it was good to watch. even if it was super cramped.
obviously attila has gotten better since then.

Even if you have a car, driving to lansmash to enter doubles of one event and then leaving is a huge waste of time and petrol, which is why i normally don't enter doubles.

I really like the idea of having the games on seperate days looking super forward to doubles now.

Ima CG his broken ***, while you mash the B button lol. He aint too broken, but has one hell of a punish game out of shield which makes him beast.

I'm interested to see these new characters, the last time I played sea was at Tempest when he just had Ganon. Feels good to find another character to use, especially when your main is low tier.

I'm always up for smash Arrow, and you only live about 5 min away from me and Jaice, and we play almost 3-4 times every week. Text me whenever your keen.

No reason to chastise Vyse for anything (because they are the better decisions given the venue's inflexibilities), except the part in point b) re: diminished hype because of two games featuring on the same day. I don't buy that argument, certainly not in a small community like Australia where both communities have recognized that they rely on each other to grow. As much as you could argue hype is diminished by merging the games, you could also argue that hype isn't even generated if you split Smash into two.

In any case, hype isn't something you can fully plan or control, but in the most logical instance, more people = more hype.

No point making comparisions to Apex where there is a large enough pool of players on both ends to generate a great amount of buzz on their own in isolation.

The reasons for transport/logistics make complete sense on the other hand.

Your tilts are where its at with Snake v Luigi. Have to play Uber gay with the green man because of poor approach, and get outranged hard. It's prob the one MU I have worked hardest on as we have more good snakes then any other character in QLD, and they all play differently.

Brawl has to be on Saturday. Was pretty sick of having to come both days when I only play one game. I remember at SQUAT V my brother and I didn't even bother coming back on the second day for doubles.

Different days = different games = best thing since sliced bread.

People relizing they are watching 8 minutes a match of dodge rolling and meta knight diminishes hype. Brawl people relizing that melée is generally more exciting is diminishing brawl hype.

Brawl hype is people getting excited for a metaknight to vs a snake only to find that is exactly like every other god **** snake va metaknight fight.

There is no hype.

It's just as annoying as when people scream out OOOOOOOOO when they hit them off the edge. Please the game is not that exciting and if you truely think it is I pity you

I don't hate brawl players I hate Brawl. It is honestly like watching paint dry

except the paint is snake standing at the other end of the stage doing nothing.

Honestly, I do enjoy watching campy games that go to eight minutes. I enjoy watching campy characters being played correctly. Watching Brawl itself being played correctly. I do, other people do. I can understand why it might not excite you to see Snake punish bad spacing with an utilt, but it comes down to opinion. It's like trying to take /v/ as gospel. I am not exaggerating when I say I like everything you guys hate about the game.

I can appreciate it, and am hyped by it. The slower pace, having to approach in awkward ways. Seeing Brawl's metagame come alive.

melee is more exciting than brawl, faster paced and less campy.. but that doesn't mean brawl is always boring. Melee can also be boring. It depends how you play the game.

in QLD all most of the melee players seem to have an elitist mentality towards the game, so all the brawl players are put off.
