No, he still has it. People who are playing as Ike may just not know about it because they don't use him.

He now holds his shield in front of him in his walking animation, blocking projectiles and such.

Cutter dash. You can follow up an F Throw or U Throw with this Cutter Dash.

Magus spent all of 15 minutes on it, it's pretty rudimentary right now. It's not even in our main folder yet, so don't be all disgusted by how silly or bad it looks atm.

hylian shield doesn't reflect projectiles, only blocks them, and only the ones on its height.

So it's basically Melee Link's walk. It always bugged me he couldn't block while walking in Brawl.

Distance doesn't make a good recovery...I mean Kirby's recovery sucked hard in Melee, idk how it is in P:M though.

Kirby had like no air mobility in Melee even though he had all those jumps.

His walks in melee did not protect him at all with his shield. If you look at it in debug mode you will see that he does not have the defensive collision that he does have in wait1.

I read over the post when I quoted it and I guess my mind automatically replaced "reflects" with "blocks", because I didn't even notice it.

I wasn't even expecting it to reflect projectiles anyway; being able to simply block them while walking (running too, or no?) is good enough.
