I always had such a hard time playing Sonic Unleashed (well, it pretty much had **** control and terrible level design anyways) after seeing Sega cooperate with Nintendo to create such an awesome handling system in GX.

How was Doubledash better than MKWii? It had more tracks, better graphics, more characters (not that it really matters in Mario Kart), and the ability to be hacked. At the end of the day it's your opinion, but whatever, personally I prefer it. The only thing that really bothered me was you saying Skyward Sword would be worse than WW or TP. You don't know that and neither do I until it comes out. Everyone said the same thing about WW with regards to MM and OoT before it came out and look at it now- you're now saying that it's a standard to hold future Zeldas to. I'm not going to say it will be the best Zelda ever, but I'm confident Nintendo isn't going to screw this up- after all, they do have a stock price to look after.
1. K moar tracks
2. Graphics dont make a game better, brawl need i say more.
3. More characters, actual DD had more.
4. Ability to hack a game doesn't make a game better, if your hacking it its likely not good enough.
5. Ya its opinion, mines better:awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome:

It not so much SS will be a bad game, cause it won't be, but the fact it is motion controlled makes inferior already to me, and the art style made me rage when I first saw it, literally i was like FFUUUUUUUUUUUU(again to me and my opinion, and to a lot of other fans also). Again in my post I never said the games on the wii suck, they are all good, but to slashy's point that many of nintendos series have not lived up to there GC counter-parts.

is sneak's stream being recorded for Youtube uploads?
If the stream has any character that we don't want to be shown on youtube, then he may not post the recorded stream. He would have to split the stream up into videos. The reason we can use chars that can't be shown on YT is because we have less people looking at it on the stream and they know things can change and whatnot.

That's pretty poor reasoning given how many extra uses items can be given with different motions along with the significantly improved combat system due to angular sword striking and enemies actually blocking.

I can gueerentee that sword slicing is going to be " this enemy you slash horizontally, and this enemy you slice vertically, o look how inovative this is", not to mention you need Motion Plus to play, another 40$ on top of 60$ game, on top of 60$ wii mote, on top of 30$ nunchuk, o also the game is very likely watered down like every wii game cause nintendo wants it to appeal to "new" audiences. I bet the Wii vitality censor is a must need for the game to measure your hearts*sarcasm*

Looking for more feedback on something I'm trying to "get" for the project. If anyone can PM me or IM me I can tell you what it is...

Eternal Yoshi, please go on AIM I really want to bring this up with you.

I like how you blatantly ignore the fact that there are enemies who will actually, you know, hold shields in which what way you need to attack them changes.
And of course it'll be watered down, because games like Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are just so watered down too. /sarcasm

You seem to have some completely irrelevant pre-release problems.

Sadly, I must agree with BestNess. I've always blamed the wii for every dissapointing (recent) nintendo console game and it seems I was right to do so.

Brawl was only the beginning. I really hope SS doesn't suck.

Zelda games pretty much never suck. I was severely disappointed with TP, but that just happens to be me. It was still an absolute hit.

The only awful Zelda games were the CD-i games.

I can't post the idea here since I don't want to make any promises or change the topic...

And they weren't even produced by Nintendo.

This topic is already pretty irrelevant. If it's about Brawl, then by all means change the topic.

The PMBR might get irritated at me, despite the fact that it is on topic. Since I'd be giving you control over a "feature" arguably as significant as double stick DI.

Well, given their reactions to previous ideas you've had, you got a point.

EDIT: I was given permission from Shadic to go ahead on this.

I got the contact info for Melee's announcer and I'm not sure if there is anything I should have him specifically say. I'll also contact Brawl's announcer again with these same ideas.

{Inhales}…
…I can't do it…

Nothing, really. Why are you doing this again?

Make him say "Toasty!"

Slashy, your thing you are talking about is no where near as "important" as double stick DI.
I'm inclined to agree because I believe in gameplay over aesthetic, but hey, this could change the way people look at our project and give it a certain "Air of Officialism." It's certainly nothing to be sneezed at, even if someone like Slashy is the one offering it.

Are you aware we still don't have a good way to use extra sounds?
Then again, there is this. Could you please try working on something? Even if it's a hard coded solution for just the title screen? Again, we greatly appreciate the work you're doing.

Slashy so good. If he accepts to do names I will be so hype.

Would this also mean this is the first time Project M has ever communicated with some form of Nintendo Employee?

Wow, now we are pushing the limits.
Let's contact Sakurai next. :3

I am not PMBR, I contacted Brawl's announcer and got him to say some extra names, and I was about to contact Street Fighter Alpha 3's/Scott Pilgrim's announcer when Shadic didn't like it, that's why I looked into Melee's and somehow managed to find his personal website (made on a Mac).

I need a list of lines (4 lines or fewer) that I should request from him. He seems totally cool and seems to have actually enjoyed working on Melee.

Wow having the name of the mod announced by the official announcer would be really cool

As Roy and Mewtwo, wich are the only 2 characters they could consider to add, already have their announcer calls I think the only announcer call that the project could use is the name for the intro, so maybe "super smash brothers project m" and "super smash brothers project melee" and then they'd choose the one that sounds better.... Oh and maybe some slogan also

I'd think more along the lines of "Projeeeect M!!!".

Could be cool for announcer calls, I would certainly not mind.

Given the situation I think it's time we gave the project and Official name and had him announce it. We'll need to call it something else once it's done. Now is the time imo. I'm all for SSBM=Super Smash Brothers Mayhem!

Also I just want to say I don't hate Rob or GayManWatch. I just feel personally their are about 50+ Characters that have a better case for being in the game. I don't want them removed. They've turned out to be ok....although something about GayManWatch's 2-D that just...sickens me.

Given how popular "Project M" is as a title, I support selecting a new official name. Anything from a Sakurai insult to a pmbr inside joke or even a generic S.S.B.-insert fighting word- would be an improvement.

Wait a minute. If the annauncer calls are already in the game (roy and m2), then why do we need new ones? Or is the plan to have the Melee annauncer say every single thing the brawl one says? That seems highly unnecessary.

It'd be sweet if you got him to say "Melee 2.0" or something like that though.

Edit: I still say we rip Street Fighter off and call it "Melee: Second Impact" lol
