Every PAL player disagrees with youOK! I think Sheik should get her Side-B recovery back!
There I said it. Here me out though. I no everyone has it in their heads as an "Unneeded buff" However Sheik in the long term may need it. Since almost all of her good Match-ups are being buffed and the DI potency means her Chaingrab/Dthrow->Fair will be much tougher to land then she may fine herself in a difficult spot in the long run. Pretty much every character that she owned in the past will have a good chance against her now. I can see Pikachu for instance will be a tougher foe. Picture him pulling a Marth-ish edgeguard. WD on stage Fsmash. Idk I suspect alot of really good sheiks will become frustrated with Project M in the long run and we don't want that.....or do we?
Then your memory is foggy.wtcrap?
At about 2:20, FSmash kills... off the top.
I don't remember it doing that in Melee.
Sheesh. If sheik had good recovery she'd be rediculous imo. Isn't she really godly onstage?
is it to reduce the time available for meteor cancel to 0?The answer for true spikes is depressingly basic, as well. Guess nobody really tried to think about it.
Hahaha i KNEW someone would do that. I set you up so bad.Sheesh.
10exasperatedsighs.
Edit: Oh ****, Magus is a wizard. ^^
*******Every PAL player disagrees with you
please think before posting stupid comments
this needs to happen.i want luigi to say : YIPEEE
This is the kind of thing we're going to probably be discussing soonish. We just got the angle, we didn't expect to be able to make true spikes at all so there has been literally no discussion on who should get what. Are any new spikes going to be added? Any Brawl characters getting a spike?
Dude...Ike's dair does spike. Are you trolling or something?Ike's Dair should spike...
You know, because it rhymes so he has to have one . That and whomping a character downwards with a bigass sword kind of hurts.
i know that people love the ideas of spikes, but imo i feel that they should be VERY carefully given to some characters. They can guarentee gimps at rediculouly low percentages and ike's dair is far too easy to hit with + too powerful anyway to justify a spike.Ike's Dair should spike...

He means true spike. Since all the brawl characters technically have meteors.Dude...Ike's dair does spike. Are you trolling or something?
NTSC disc + PAL wii = the way to goTalking about PAL, is the game even going to be ported to PAL at all?
u mean does not spikeHalberd, no it does not, it meteors.
Spikes = You can't meteor cancel it (Falco's Dair)
Meteors = You can meteor cancel it (Ike's Dair)
Can smashers PLEASE understand the difference nowadays? Is it really that hard to call Ike's Dair a meteor? I've always hated the misuse of the word spike and it only happens because there are no spikes in Brawl so people who play Brawl exclusively have no idea what spike actually refers to.
Ike's Dair once again does not spike.
The thought that I would have bought 2 barwl discs would be really sad =(NTSC disc + PAL wii = the way to go
well, im not sure if this has changed but when they made brawl+, the porting from NTSC to PAL was about a 4 month process or something. The thought that I would have bought 2 barwl discs would be really sad =(
>_> I guess I could wait that long.. And also I know someone who tried to play a japanese game on his PAL wii and his wii broke after a while, doesnt this happen with NTSC aswell?well, im not sure if this has changed but when they made brawl+, the porting from NTSC to PAL was about a 4 month process or something.
There's codes we use that PAL does not have which would require someone with the fighter.pac of the PAL version to port them. And honestly, it's probably just better to get the game by other "non-legal" means. You don't have to buy it, but I won't say how to get it without buying it (do your own research). There's also the fact that we'd have to most likely redo a lot of crap to get it working on PAL (because we'd have to port the character .pacs, stage .pacs, etc.) Right now, PAL is not a concern mainly because we do not have someone who can do all this. The thought that I would have bought 2 barwl discs would be really sad =(
Oh great, just great -.- why doesn't Europe have a bigger community =(There's codes we use that PAL does not have which would require someone with the fighter.pac of the PAL version to port them. Your Wii will not break no matter what unless your laser starts to go bad because of playing with Brawl for so long.
Ah, alright. This is the kind of thing we're going to probably be discussing soonish. We just got the angle, we didn't expect to be able to make true spikes at all so there has been literally no discussion on who should get what.

melee only had 5 spikes (4 in PAL) and 3 of them were very situational and rarely used (falcon's nipple spike, ganon's wizard kick in air and roy's upsmash tipper).
Is is wrong if i know the difference but say spike anyway because it's easier and it sounds less lame?Halberd, no it does not, it meteors.

mario's fair could be, since its pretty high risk and no reward in melee. But genereally most moves should be meteor. Link imo should have a very small spike hitbox on his dtilt (at the hilt) as well as a meteor hitboxIs is wrong if i know the difference but say spike anyway because it's easier and it sounds less lame?
In all honesty why does spike = can't cancel
and meteor = cancelable
Wouldn't a meteor be harder to stop that a spike? (irl)
Just sayin'.
So what characters would definately be a "hell no" to giving spikes? Ike is one.
what about weegee or mario?
just to narrow it down a little.
Sounds pretty reasonable to me.mario's fair could be, since its pretty high risk and no reward in melee. But genereally most moves should be meteor. Link imo should have a very small spike hitbox on his dtilt (at the hilt) as well as a meteor hitbox
