Whoa, that Falco looks really amazing GW, It literally gets better each and every time =)

Just nitpicking, but is it possible to make his shoes a little more flat footed? It always urks me a little with the thought of him wearing high heels. If not, oh well, it's still amazing.

Really glad that you're doing Fox next, too=D

Marth can really only kill at 120% with tipper up smash and tipper up tilt or tipper nair...and sometimes those are hard to set up (someone already said all this but w/e)
Tipper fsmash and upb are also effective at those percentages (not to mention his dair spike and dancing blade spike/other 3rd and 4th attacks).

So, he actually has a decent arsenal, but, like you and many other have said: he just has difficulty comboing into a solid KO move at higher percentages. However, he does make up for this with his amazing edgeguarding prowess.

Also, can Ness's Yo-Yo dip off the side of stages while charging like it could in Melee? It is sublte and not always relaible but its still really good for [L]edgeguarding. It would also be pretty interesting if it could semi spike. (I'm not sure if it could already do this, can't remember)

Peach can really only kill at 120% with Up smash sweetspot or charged racket sweetspot. And Peach doesn't have a good wavedash for spacing, so kills can be difficult for her since she is very slow compared to fox, falco, etc.
You literally know nothing about Peach, and I predict melee in general. please dont talk about peaches options again

haha

also this has probably been asked a thousand times but with your recent discoveries on landing detection, how much closer are we to getting a beta than before?

That is not how she gets her kills...

...Why?...
Releasing a beta won't impede their progress and they could just say "This is what we haven't done yet so don't ask why it isn't in the beta".

It would also be a good test to see how the general public receive the game and for them to report bugs and errors.

Only because people treat the beta like a finished version. and there's no way to stop that. and then people complain because they have to redownload. and then people complain about the changes because they got used to the first version.

it's a terrible idea to release a beta, tbqh

They aren't making the same mistake as Brawl+. First off, they're planning on giving a large amount of time between updates. Second and most importantly, they seem to want to make all of the characters fit at the very least and physics are a top priority.

Also, keep in mind that people already take considerations as decisions (see Snake's flash bang grenades). It's impossible to avoid people who will treat the beta like a finished version.

There is no way of knowing if those down-sides counter the good ones.
All of the points there seem to apply to ****-heads anyway, so who cares?

lol brawl+ releasing 50 versions was a huge mistake. project m releasing 4 versions is a mistake as well

what are the good sides of releasing early? they already get playtesting not only in the backroom, but in tournaments that members bring it to. they don't have to release it to the public just yet.

Isn't P:M still in its alpha stages?

I'm pretty sure when the entire melee cast has been recreated, the brawl cast has been meleefied, the landing detection code is perfected, the hitbox sizes and knockback values are fixed, and the camera is fully meleefied... then there will be a beta.

I think the purpose of the P:M beta is to release a "complete" version of the game for the community to play, popularize, and evolve the meta game; then the Backroom will develop and begin balancing (aka, low tier buffing) for future versions.

I doubt that P:M will release a beta in its current form, but I have a feeling before november that an official beta will be released.

I also hope that some time down the road that they add in wall grappling and fix the DI, but I think it was stated earlier that these two things would be very difficult to do.

Of course, I could be wrong. But there is no need to start an argument over whether a beta is good or not when we aren't even sure what stage of P:M is the "beta" and whether the PMBR intends the beta to be a test or an actual release to get wheels turning in preparation for future versions.

its not affected by gravity i'm pretty sure
it's not.. i think he meant that you can't SH Bair Quick draw or SH f air Quick draw bcuz of gravity.

however, i'd guess that just quick drawing would remain intact. i can't imagine why they would get rid of it =/

Because the gravity is higher, you won't have enough air time to QD cancel or whatever its called. That's what I'm assuming.

not after a short hopped aerial. but i'm sure the cancel still exists (unless they took it out) and i'm sure people will find dif ways to make use of it.

It wont be as useful because aerial into QD won't work so you'd be better off just shooting an arrow from the ground.

There's still reverse ledge-grabbing.

On the Melee Mario texture, I like the details of Brawl's Mario but the saturation of Melee's. I'll give a shot anyways and I probably won't even notice the difference :p

why? what does it add aside from making recoveries easier?

I was curious because I was indeed seeing backwards grabs, but I wasn't sure under what circumstances.
