I'm sorry I was looking through Strong Bad's posts and realized too late that he already answered all of my questions. >.>

Our whole file is only 125 megs currently. Add in a few more stages and other things and we'll hit 175 at the max. Easily supported by normal SD cards and SDHC

Well I have a lot of music and crap so my whole stuff is about 280 megs total. Which is still plenty enough for a normal SD card to handle.

In other words:

So guys. What do you think should be done with a bunch of the Brawl characters? (This is a poor attempt to change the conversation topic from stupid crap)

Only reason I haven't gotten into Riiv yet was the lack of a stable .xml. That has probably changed by now, but all I saw was out-of-control builds where I couldn't tell if one was fully working or not. I've been dying to switch over seeing as how you can create a channel port of it (well, you can with most apps but it's super easy to do I guess) and how much better it functions.

If PM switches to Riiv before the beta (which would be a logical decision), that would be the time I will switch over then.

Olimar I heard has ideas in place.

As for most brawl characters, I think the only thing that needs to be done is remove things that would totally not work in melee (ex. Wario Bike), and put in ideas that mesh more with the playstyle of melee. Well, also knockback and landing detection but those are more global things.

Though it wouldn't be wise to only release it for Riivolution.

Well, I tried out Brawl+ Pit today and realized that he is actually really good. He can WoP and in the right hands his arrows could be excellent edguarding tools so I believe his Brawl+ incarnation should be used, only melefied to match the physics and his recovery probably should also be more mobile but should also have a shorter duration.

Brawl+ ZSS is also pretty good too but its not worth discussing since P:M said they already had some plans for her.

As for Wario, idk, I think he should keep his air mobility but I think he should lean more towards using it for approaches as opposed to air camping. I was also thinking that his neutral b should be like his side smash but it can be charged similar to DK's giant punch. His side b could then be replaced with a grab similar to that move he does in that Wario Land for the Wii where he grabs his opponent and shakes the money out of them sort of like how he shakes the money out of bags.

Overall, I think his ground game should be buffed a lot and some of his tilts should be changed to give him more defensive options.

and the stage expansion pack doesn't necessarily have to be 9 extra battlefields. From what I know it can be 9 completely different stages...if that's not right, according to Dantarion and his magic the music wouldn't necessarily be the same anyways.
The ASL isn't the same thing as the stage expansion code. The stage expansion is Phantom Wings' code and makes 9 extra stage icons that can be replaced with anything you want, but they all use Battlefield's music. Dantarion's ASL code makes it so you can load multiple stage replacements from a single icon by holding a button while it loads, and apparently the not-yet-released new version will be able to load multiple music files as well.

Wario seems fine to me. As for the bike, it creates a recovery that while good, is easily interrupted.
The only thing I would do is increase the time for the bike to come back, and remove the amour while on the bike.

I don't think he needs to be changed much.
Dsmash sucks, uptilt kinda sucks, but jab, ftilt, fsmash, dair and uair are so good it doesn't matter

i don't understand the question. are you asking if we're going to make the game imbalanced, or if we're going to release a Tier List for this game eventually?

That sounds pretty cool actually. Being able to wall tech out of his up+b.

Is the character selection screen that you're using now going to be the final one for PM, or will it be redesigned to be more Melee-like (or just redesigned at all)?

I think you can do whatever you want with it. As for an optional one though, I'm curious if someone would do a PM-styled CSS.

It was in Melee, you just didn't execute the aerial.. I think the window during the startup of aerials to grab should be reduced, but otherwise keep the mechanic.

EDIT: I've already thought of techable PKT2. I'm going to implement it when I get around to it.

Good, it's so bad in its current state that it gimps you for touching a wall; Diddy's is far more controllable so it's fine with the wall gimp I suppose. At the very least, I was hoping for a mirrored angle rebound off walls much like 64 Ness', but teching it might be neat.

I think Falcon is slightly better than his Melee incarnation now. Or that's what I remember reading.

But yeah, two bomb limit would be cool to remove.

what changes have been made to falcon to make him better?
i'm guessing more priority and i know he can grab ledges with raptor boost so he's got more recovery options

you guys should also change the title screen and menu to say Melee 2.0 or something
and make a custom CSS (as someone said) and a custom SSS

i vote black and red for colors ;O
jkdontkillmeplzihavesomuchtodoinlife

maybe melee styled menus n' stuff. don't want it feeling like brawl do we? <_< lolbrawl

edit: i'm like a week or so late but the FAQ thing is lmao.

I'd imagine trying to stall with that would be pretty difficult, but like Wind Owl said, it should be put into play and practiced first.

@Sora, I found using ASF1nk's Black'n'Blue CSS a pretty excellent remedy over Brawl's pale white menu if that's anything. In fact, I'm surprised the users in the streams haven't been using a custom CSS.
...or was Sneak using one in the most recent stream? I actually didn't give that any thought, but it's vaguely in my mind.

I've been thinking about my own Melee/PM styled CSS for Brawl, which is what made me ask. I thought of a design like this (mockup picture) that would sort of use Melee's pattern and add in Brawl's new characters. But then I tested it ingame and clicking on either of the random buttons just puts your cursor on the left one, which is ugly and ruins it =( But if anyone's interested in a new one, I'll try to think of some more ideas.

Even if you can do an infinite with PKT2 + walltechs, its not like the opponent would just stand there letting you do so. Even if the opponent has no choice but to watch because maybe they're on their last stock or its too far down to reach without suiciding, we are human - we are bound to make a mistake. If anything, we can simply state a rule of no infinite PKT2 stalling at every tournament. Its like Ganon's invincible frames from ledge to regrab. You can barely touch him but no one really does it and I'm sure it would be easier than PKT2 infinite stall.

Creating an infinite intentionally is still dumb.

Maybe if you made it so you can only PKT twice before landing, getting hit, or touching the ledge.

No, but they could potentially do it somewhere under the stage where the other player wouldn't be able to recover from if they went down to stop it.

Yeah, there is already a ban against other recovery stalls so you can just put a ban against PKT2 wall tech infinite.

Not to mention, there are a lot of variables to consider and would take practice to appropriately pull off without getting ledge spiked/ footstooled/ stage spiked, etc.

well that's the blue one.. this project is the best thing since life so i think it should have a melee-colored menu/select screens. brawl- does, why not project M?

Alright, I love P:M and everyone who is a part of it but I find it a bit confusing how you want to leave the Shiek chain glitch which can give a character over 80% damage(endless you guys were just busting our balls the whole time) but the second someone suggests the most simple buff to Ness's recovery you are all up in arms saying "infininite" even though a stall could be banned; thus anyone who does it forfeits the match.

I'm not trying to rant, but I am confused due the contradicting logic and you really don't owe us anything but clarification would be cool.

Sorry if I seem like a total ***hat right now but I had to say it.
