Voted for melee and karnov's revenge. Too good.

Be sure, to get everyone who plays to vote there, while it won't make melee have a tournament there, but it's great to show the strength of the game.

Wooooooooooooow you guys. I can be a total **** in-game when I play friendlies, you guys have no idea haha. For kills, I always go "I know what I want!" and try going for that as much as possible (reverse BAir -> knee with Falcon, running FSmash spam with Falco, DSmash spikes with Charizard, etc.).

Thanks man, I think you're super nice as well and doing a great job representing the PMBR. Too bad we're so far away from each other, it'd be nice to meet you in real life :(.
LOL yo, at least you actually GO for kills! I just spam n stuff.. :awesome:
And yeahh-- maybe someday at some tournament sometime :)

Also, I voted for both Melee and Brawl-- just because PM wouldn't be possible without brawl's terrible engine xD

EVO HYPE!! :D

edit: I also voted for pokemon puzzle league. Come at me

Voted for Melee, AC+R, and Fighting is Magic for the lulz.

Evo would be hype with Melee there.

Dude, you play Pokemon Puzzle League? You've just blown my awesomeness scale. I'm nowhere as good as Azen was, but I played it a lot last year and still play it on occasion.

Also, re-posting the link for people who don't want to look for it again: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Evolution-Championship-Series/156605564382

If you guys could wish for any mechanic problem to be fixed, what would it be? Mine would be the 1-frame momentum delay, but sticky teching and static throws are high on my wish-list as well.

My wish would be that Brawl's short hop mechanics remain the same (as they have in P:M v2.1), where it checked for the jump on the last frame possible where as Melee checked one frame earlier: which gives everyone an easier SH by 1 frame meaning Fox and Sheik and others are now just right to short hop with. [This is not the same as the 1-frame momentum delay, this is entirely different]

Far beyond any AT: Short hopping with characters that have the lowest jump squat frames, which is quiet a few characters, is detrimental to my casual friends as well as uncomfortable to me and probably a lot of you. I can teach them and they have the ability to perform every other AT to a decent extent and without any discomfort (I also prefer the light press air dodge for it's comfort and extreme capabilities to press in an instant, especially while P:M has no type of light shield yet which would make it a little awkward to use then), but when they can't even Short hop with Fox/Sheik/ICs/Pikachu in Melee because it's so demandingly fast: that's just stupid to me. When I first heard about the different Jump start mechanic of Brawl making it a frame easier to SH, I was thinking that for some reason their jump start had to be longer, but to find out it's because Melee didn't check the last frame possible while Brawl did, that gave me stuff to think about. Here I thought I appreciated the sheer speed of leaving the ground only in a few frames but still being able to decipher between the two different jumps possible that you wanted, but slightly loathed how it was just fact that you had to press the button that fast to do it, only for it to turn out there was another frame possible to check?!? It keeps the same amount of jump squat frames for a fast jumping character while making it easier. It's the better method for checking SHs, unless you want to keep the Melee one for the sheer hardness: which is far beyond the concept of L-canceling in terms of competitive depth, where L-canceling actually takes different skills and situational techniques; While making short hopping harder is well..making short hopping hard, which shouldn't even be an advanced technique let alone one of the hardest ones to overcome due to it's speed factor. In P:M Fox and others are now at the exact level of comfort to SH with while still being only 1 frame away from getting use to SH with them in Melee if you wanted to, but why the hell would people want to implement it to be a frame worse of a mechanic check, uncomfortable, and require ONLY a speed barrier for something so damn common in the game. We should make walking be harder.

+1 for sticky teching fix. That would be awesome if it got fixed, as nothing is more annoying than missing a kill because your opponent decided to techroll.

And it's not really something that needs to be 'fixed' per say, but I would really like it if light-shielding could be implemented in Project:M somehow. I vaguely remember light-presses not being differentiated from full-presses in Brawl, but a man can dream.

Why do I feel like this is the reason for Brawl's 1 frame delay thing? lol

Just looked at the polls again. I like how all of the Brawl players are giving support to Melee (thus showing them to be an open minded and respectful community), but aren't getting much love from Melee***s Melee players. Thanks for the mutual support, guys.

Actually, we're on top by 50 votes now.

Then again, as someone (clowsui was it?) pointed out in the other thread, FGC is older than us and more likely will have the time to vote this evening.

@9K Brawl players think Melee is a good game, and Melee players think Brawl is a bad game. News at 11.

I made a thread to find friends who will play P:m on wifi similar to brawl online nightly. We meet up and play P:M. I thought I would attempt to let everyone meet and play.

There was not. (to my knowledge...)

But worry not! The PMBR is always working their magic.

Also I need FCs. I have nobody to play... It makes playing BORING.

that was more directed at the PMBR, although really it was a pointless segway

I'll be streaming a demo 2.5 preview with Irvine locals in roughly 45 minutes; the stream will be at http://www.twitch.tv/mrxacius

People interested in seeing lots of Squirtle (or whatever else, really) might want to tune in.

edit: There aren't a lot of people here right now, so the stream might be delayed a bit. I'll post again once things get started.
