he lives in ga,im 100 positive he wasnt using buffer. john forsyth aka gp when he plays makes it look likes he is " so called using buffer too" but they are just technical and really good.

Lucas is much better than people think. can't wait for more people to use him.

You need to reset your power cable. Unplug everything from the wii and thn unplug the cable from the wall and let it sit for awhile. It should work if the red light comes back on when you plug it back it.

:phone:
Is this a really common problem with the wii, needing to reset the power cable if the power surges? Or is it more common that the wii just gets fried? I would try your suggestion now but I left the wii over at a friend's house, where the power surged while we weren't using the wii the previous night.

I really doubt the Wii is fried and none of the other electronics were. This exact thing happened to my wii like 2 years ago. Just do what I said and 90% sure it will work again. Just make sure you unplug everything from both the wii and the wall.

Happened to my Wii after a blackout a while back. Can confirm that unplugging and replugging everything fixes it.

Also, at what point should we start a new thread? This is getting ridiculously long

I actually tried that and it didnt help.

:phone:
My controller does this every once in a while except with up. I literally just give it time to rest and come back the next day and it'll be fine. If not that, then roll the control stick around a bunch.

Cheeseguy posted this in the samus forums and I think it should be highlighted here, because it is a seriously good suggestion:

If you look at the 2001 E3 trailer for Melee, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9LdzxhKaw#t=78s , it looks like Samus actually could cancel normal attacks with a bomb-jump at some point during Melee's development. I'd love to see something like this added back in for P:M Samus, maybe limiting the cancels just to jabs and tilts and not smashes. Samus is all about situational tricks and setups like this IMO, and this would add another interesting option to her combo game.
What do you guys think? Samus was always solid mid tier character in melee, but lacked the speed and combo ability to be a top tier. I think this is a clever way to inprove her core mechanics without changing her physics or "feel"

I like tech chase D-throws better when they send at a low angle weakly instead of right on the ground. Like Falcon's tech chases are so easy mode because he has so much time after the throw before the opponent is even given the opportunity to tech, and so it either easy combos into fair with inward/No DI, or easy tech chases with outward DI. Making a throw that only tech chases by forcing the enemy into a tech state immediately is just inherently worse since it relies entirely on prediction, since the enemy can tech either before or barely after- if that- the thrower's animation is finished, where Falcon just gets a free bye because Melee.

Like I'm not a fan of easy modo tech chases and combos, but if Falcon and Sheik and every other good character get them, I can't see a reason why like Zard and Game and Watch shouldn't. Unless there's some other use for them like they spike or something on the edge then I guess it makes sense.

Snake's is alright I suppose since the opponent is limited to only four options instead of seven.

I've been saying this since forever.

Although the ability to spike with a throw is overrated.

They probably only meteor or some dumb **** too.

If Charizard's U-throw ground bounced some how that would be ****ing legit. Auto-combos into Glair or any aerial at low percents, ground bounce impacting kills at high percents.

I am more then ok with this.

They can make it so it regularly does a ground bounce thing that sets up for combos but skips that explosion thing it currently does. Then have it so holding a button causes that explosion and is a used as a KO throw like it does now.

It kills decently earlier if there's a platform above you.

and if you aren't playing on dreamland.

or against bowser.

in that clip, it seems like the bomb was already at her feet when samus dtilted. she then went into the morph ball animation but cancelled it into a fair. maybe if samus could lay bombs that linger for a set amount of time, like zelda's dins, and she could either run into it to go into morph ball animation that can cancelled into a jump or aerials, or it would blow up and send her into morph ball animation. mite b cool

Samus's bomb timers are fine and perfect how they are. The move is already a vital tool as it is currently. Samus isn't Zelda where she needs a drastically different function for several of her moves to be made good.

Not to mention, Samus (and ZSS, by extension) has a file structure that has unpredictable and often catastrophic reactions to being changed.

They knew not to attack a CC'ing peach.

Also did the Samus in that clip L-cancel the Fair?
