thanks but i was hoping to get advice from snake mains or good players lolI've used knife to go into grab, dtilt, ftilt, utilt, sticking a c4, jab, and hitting with another crabtilt.
Curses, foiled again. D:Jiang was the one who named it crabtilt.
Ah,, imo not really. He isn't a "very good" character at all. He's not terrible, but thats not saying much considering everyone in p:m isn't terrible. It's just that alot more characters **** him than he does **** others. Projectiles are super effective against him and he has a predictable recovery- Although I'll give him that his recoveries are pretty good in terms of distance and they have alot of priority (glair/up-b). Not to mention that charizards d-throw tech-chase is pretty good, and backthrow/ uthrow is a kill throw. It's mostly that his aerials, besides his uair are kinda slow despite being a very 'airbourne' character, he gets combo'd kinda easily and projectiles are the bane of his existence.Zard doesn't need buffs...he's a very good char, not a lot of people have realized that yet
B-reverse neutral b and fly out, fool...Not to mention that, ON TOP OF THAT, he has one of the slowest falling speeds, so his vital organ containing periscope is sticking over the ledge for even longer than it would otherwise be, and since he has an above average fast falling speed, it's hard to tap down to make him fast fall without holding down for too long and going past the edge.
TL:DR: Just don't recover with charizard. Just b-reversal his command glide and fly out of the blast zones to save yourself the mental strain. Oh wait, you can't even reverse his down-b...
The first link links to the project m site... and it has a community tab...Oh well thank you. I do request that the link to that site should be on the first post of this thread so more people see it!!!
You can't, I've tested it. It's too bad, because if anybody needs a subtle buff that would also make sense given the general function of the game, it's Wario. On the topic of B-reversals, is it possible to B-reverse Wario's side+B? I can do it with Ike's QD, but I've never gotten it to work with Wario. It'd be extremely useful for using the side+B outside of dashdance range, so I'm curious why it seems like the PMBR denied Wario this option.
I'd SOOOOOO get that one rather than the 360 palette swap.Well I just seen the Nyko controller for the wii:U I will probably end up buying that. http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Nyko-Pro.jpg.
But back on topic... I think wolf is good. and I agree with both Jc and NeoZ comments.
The Meleefied Brawl newcomers are what as of now and in my judgement, dominates the P:M scene. People eager to see, discover, and dominate their playstyles while trying to find out anything no one knows about, just how the Melee metagame evolved with certain characters (IMHO).With regards to the "Wolf is good" discussion, I'm surprised no one has brought up Professor Pro winning many PM tournaments in the UK with Wolf. Part of it can be that people are experimenting with Brawl newcomers instead of their Melee mains (the top three from their most recent tournament, SR4, was Wolf, Ike, and Wario, in that order) and that Professor Pro is very good (he placed 2nd in Melee), but I seriously doubt that Wolf is a bad character.
Also, I think Charizard has some glaring weaknesses, but he's extremely fun to play and isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be.
Lastly, I just wanted to give the heads-up that I'm going to another PM tournament this weekend. Expect more Ike and more videos! We'll have more setups this time around, so not all the bracket matches will get recorded. However, I'll try to ensure that matches towards the end of the bracket get recorded.
@DrinkingFood: I saw your edit and was just going to ask why Charizard needed subtle nerfs . I agree with you though; I know we're supposed to play like the characters are final, but I think he needs a bigger ledge grab box.
Yeah, Wolf and Ness' metagame hasn't been developed very consistently. And no, how you feel about a character should not determine how you play with that character.I've made it quite clear that unless someone wants to drive 12 hours out of their way I'm not going to any scene in the next ahdunnuh, 3 and a half years while I'm in college.
At the same time, I don't even have to play Project M to to observe that Wolf, as it stands, is low in the metagame. Same thing with Ness. If I was going off how I felt about the characters, Ness would be like #3, but that's not where my character impressions come from. Ness is pretty terrible in the meta for the time being; it doesn't matter how I personally feel about the characters, and it shouldn't because my experience with the game on hand is not the meta of it.
But then the metagame is early. All you ****ers talking about Wolf being #6, get to work. All I can do is observe. I'm like Al here, ****.
Also morning gents.
Melee poison? Really? Brawl is the poison, and at most, Melee would be an antidote XDGood morning to you as well.
So I have an odd story. You guys probably won't see the point until I get to the end, and I'm so forever alone I figured I'd share it with you guys. But there is a reason that I would share it on smashboards which you'll see at the end.
So last night I had a dream. But it was a nightmare, one that has recurred from my childhood but I haven't had in years. I'm sure some of you are familiar with that kind of dream, the ones that terrify you no matter how ridiculous. It consists of a creature reminiscent of Jeepers Creepers but rather than being a bat-human thing, it's a scorpion human thing, which poisons you with its tail and waits for you to die, then sheds its skin and replaces it with yours. So in typical dream logic we went to bed, even after it had killed one person in the my house (it went to hide in the air conditioning vents). We slept in pairs for "safety" and me and my partner, who I know is my friend but whose name I can't figure out, for some reason shared a bed so we could spread a blanket flat over us and make it look like there was nobody there (again, dream logic). After two hours (in dream time) of sitting there, my partner started to go insane from the tension and started screaming rhymes daring the creature to come kill us. I tried to shut him up, but it was too late at that point- the thing found us, threw him off of me (my dream, so of course it's after me) and stabbed me with its tail. Before it had retreated to wait for me to die, it saw me trying to squeeze the wound to get the poison out, like you would get the pus out of a pimple. He turned and responded to me simply, again in adherence with dream logic, "It's Melee poison, you'll never get it out," then laughed and fled.
My dream ended before I died.
Brawl fanboys, eat your heart out.
You likely need to perform a My Music reset on your Mushroomy Kingdom, sir.I'm sorry but I don't keep up with this thread anymore. Whenever I play on Metal Cavern, it sometimes randomly freezes. Is this due to a know issue or could this be just a strange problem with my file?
No, it's a meteor.I believe it is a spike. That's what the smashers in my area were saying. So not exactly sure lol
I wish my dreams were that awesome. The best I have is Moses standing on a mountain of coal while lightning strikes him.Good morning to you as well.

Sounds pretty awesome to me. I hope there wasn't sarcasm there because I didn't get it then lol.I wish my dreams were that awesome. The best I have is Moses standing on a mountain of coal while lightning strikes him.
I played Chu in that matchup just a few weeks ago. I can't remember exactly how it went but I'm pretty sure I won. Can't check at the moment but the videos are on my youtube.Pikachu vs Snake is an sucky matchup.. especially when the pka player is chudat T_T... Has anyone else played that matchup yet?
What exactly are you basing your observations on? Theorycrafting? Wifi friendlies? Because if you go by tournament data, Wolf and Ness are 2 of a handful of characters who have tourney wins under their belts. Wolf's win was particularly impressive. At the same time, I don't even have to play Project M to to observe that Wolf, as it stands, is low in the metagame. Same thing with Ness. That's what his running grab looks like. He didn't use side-b.I streamed 9 hours of Project M yesterday.

That isn't a side-b canceled into a grab; that's wario's dash-grab. It's designed to LOOK like he's using his side-b, so that it'll trick people into sheilding, where wario takes advantage and grabs them. Wario's designed to be a tricky sonofabetch, so thats why he has that, among many other moves that make him deceptive.I streamed 9 hours of Project M yesterday.
