So my current skateboard is dying on me
I finally replaced the wheels after they were long gone, and my trucks still work fine (although I might upgrade If I find some dough)
But the deck itself is like 7+ years old and has seen much better days. I'm pretty sure Within the next 3 weeks or so its going to just snap underneath me while I'm skating around campus.
Thoughts on this for the deck? I might do a similar-looking custom grip-tape too, although thats like an extra 20 bucks

I have a bike, but you don't understand how stupid hard up-keep can get on a bike in AZ
Like the sun itself wears things out, and then add cacti and other spikey things everywhere getting in tires, its a pain.
Plus my college put in all these walk only zones so about half the campus you have to walk through, skating is much more convenient. (and cheaper)

Can't believe I missed that. I consider myself good at math too. What confused me was when people say "DI in" and "DI away" for the same move, it makes me think of it putting your further or closer to the opponent to allow different followups, which I knew was incorrect. Once again, thanks for all of your knowledgeable responses. Still working on training myself to intentionally DI kill moves. Combo moves are much harder because cpu's suck...

You'll get it with some practice, Gravy. My DI sucked complete donkey balls until about a month ago, and was told yesterday that it was "near-perfect".

Just focus on it for a few practice sessions, letting yourself play otherwise on autopilot and just getting the DI right. Fortunately, the only directions you usually need are up+in, and down+away.

I still don't really know how DI works, so I just hold whatever direction opposite to where I'm going.

^^That's good DI/vectoring for Smash 4 LOL

DI for other Smash games is usually done with right angles: you are going straight up? Hold left/right. 90 degrees either direction to your tangent is generally the max. Combine that with trying to modify your path either towards the corner OR with a bias towards the stage (a hit won't kill you, but you get the option of a DI path that goes higher + closer to the stage instead of corner)

Get's interesting with little tiny inbetween angles though.

That could be the result of range decay but I'm pretty sure they do a minimum of 1 damage.

no, things can do low enough damage to not register. shoot falco lasers at high range, eventually they stale enough to not do 1% (they do a fraction iirc)
in this case its due to the range decay plus the powershield multiplier that caused it to have low enough damage

yeah they decay to 1% damage and PS reflect halves damage, so it must have done 0.5 damage.

Story:
m2k buys 3DS from katsukitty
it doesn't work
m2k demands 7 more 3DS' due to him not being able to stream smash 4 when everybody else was
and if they don't give them to him he'll tell people not to buy from katsukitty
pbnj apparently told him this was a fair demand
katsukitty says no but they'll repair his 3DS for free
m2k goes on reddit and ******* about katsukitty
people find out about m2k's extortion attempt and remember just how ******** he is
