Wtf kind of seeding threw emukiller against M2k in winner's semis
Looking at the bracket, we would've seen M2K vs ZeRo or M2K vs Wizzrobe/Junebug in winners semis if things were switched, so M2K vs Emukiller isn't that much of a stretch.

and then right after this happened: http://www.gfycat.com/RectangularCourageousAyeaye

and then K9 still won.
K9 still won? It may have been better if he switched directions for the D-smash to get him off-stage, I wonder what the TAS'like optimal punish should be; like couldn't he initiate his Dair infinite?
I know nothing of music.

If that song is drum and bass, then I like drum and bass.
Half the reason PMDepot has almost 500 subs right now is because of the music
Download and listen to these through Foobar and set the Global hotkey in preferences for pause/start to easily turn it off and on

maybe I'll just make a video

True that. It skipped my mind since I didn't see either of them in semis on the other side. I'm surprised NinjaLink gave Zero so much trouble. Are VODs up yet?

Dair is hardly infinite since you can SDI up and tech. Even if you don't SDI up on the first dair, you can tech the second and get away. I think the full charge dsmash was optimal, it did do 61% and is guaranteed.

EDIT: Or do you mean dair without the last hit? I feel like you could still SDI out of it.

It's an inf. no it's not yes it is no it's.. probly being changed

It like you said seems escapable and requires precise tech. I'm Diddy/MK getting D-throw CG'd by Nesses (Neese)

@ shairn shairn Dair without the last hit, DJC'd

still continue to have some hard respect for zero in P:M though. considering everyone whines about gimmicks with emukiller, he found a way through it pretty damn efficiently

that kind of goes back to zero vs. chu dat from a month-ish ago. everyone else falls for simple stuff, zero understands them at their core and learns to adapt

its like youre trying extremely hard to have **** taste

EDIT - accidental double post my mistake
What can I say? I think most of the music I listen to is pretty **** anyways, but if it's faster then maybe it's over quicker and thus slightly less ****ty, since it's been concentrated too densely for me to differentiate. also there's usually cute anime grills, so you can usually find the least bad nightcore by looking for the most hi-res moeblob.

tl;dr: yeah, nightcore's ****ty, but it's something to show people. "Yeah, your music sucks, but I can at least listen to it if Alvin and the Chipmunks sing it at 200 bpm."

but dude black metal and anime theme songs is where it's atttt dawwwg

To talk about the Lucas infinite for a moment, it's simply DJC Dair (First hit) repeatedly. While you CAN SDI it, it isn't a very large distance and Lucas can actually move enough to swap sides before you reach a ledge. Eventually you reach a percent when the first hit bounces you off the ground.

I'm watching the archive of Melee GFs right now since I missed most of Zenith, It's so good. D1 having hilarious commentary, M2K pulling tricks of going off stage to bait and gimp Hax

Aw he cut off Hax talking something about Falcon and never got back around to it

Roll Tier 3 videos of top 8 are up for PM featuring Strong Bad, MJG and Rfrizzle. South Dakota have a PM crew battle against Nebraska as well so look for that, Also there may be a gif worthy part or 2 in the crew battle and the top 8 footage letting you folks know now.

Sword Ganon lookin wierd as **** after the new update. Crisp though. Currently no longer has modes, so not usable for competitive play like old versions.

how do you see every time different modes exist in smash with zelda/shiek and the pokemon trainer, see them all fail, and decide "well clearly MINE WILL WORK BETTER"

if you ever try a moveset like this, you need to do something like street fighter's gen: have two stances, have them transfer instantly btwn them in a single command (no fancy 2-3 second animation nonsense), and have the job for each stance be very specific so you have to switch between the two to use every option well

street fighter perfected this ever since SFA and y'all still trying to reinvent the wheel

Every time I see someone have a panic attack at the thought of their character being nerfed I want to vomit.

Stop being so afraid of trying something new/learning. I look forward to every patch to see how much my character has changed, both positively and negatively. Calm the eff down.

I wanna see what they'd change to meta knight, in particular. if I did it I'd prolly just change his dair, make his recovery a bit less free so it's more focused on mixups and end it there, but I know the recovery nerfs are gonna be a bit bigger than that, I think?

it'll be interesting to see. if they somehow butcher it, I have 40 other options I can work with that could still be fun. possibly more, depending on how big this update is to them

I think Meta Knight is in an interesting position right now. He's really good, and his recovery is really good, but is it really good enough to get changed? Maybe. Maybe not. When people bring up recovery nerfs he's almost never mentioned.

I look forward to seeing what happens.

I'm hoping they just remove that glide - like I've said before, I think it'd just be better if glides weren't a thing.

I think they'd have to remake his up-B if they got rid of glides. Not sure what they'd change it to, but I would not be opposed to it. I have mixed feelings on glides as it is.

Edit: what do you think about Peach's up-B? It's sorta glide-like.

Can the non-recovery applications of Pit's glide possibly be recreated in some alternate way?

Pit's glide is the worst one by far since you can jump out of it. MK's is much more committal, as is Charizard's but to a lesser extent since he can up-B after it.

They could shorten Pit's glide so you have to throw out an attack soon after starting the move because you will lose it and they could also do the same for Meta Knight's recovery where you have to start using your jumps because you just lose the glide.

Honestly the only fix Mewtwo needs is just adding end lag to his nair. As well as the entire cast losing the ******** grabbing from behind BS. It's not even like he is broken, he does have some good tricks but it's been proven time and time that he is beatable.
Diddy just needs a tweak on the angle Fair sends you at, cause the Sheik angle on it makes it too OP.
Mario is fine imho, The walljump should be harder to preform as it was in Melee but no complaints otherwise.
Pit needs a small change, but I'm not sure where yet tbh. I think fair should have a bit more knockback to stop the chaining of it but I don't see him as broken or anywhere near it.
Snake, unfortunately is gonna get a nerf on his Cypher, along with all other recoveries in the game, though I've got no idea what is gonna happen to it, I'm hoping the invincibility and hitbox stay but I'm biased. Fair might get tweaked a bit too, but I don't see anything wrong with the character and I don't think he actually needs nerfs. Though if he does get one, I'd like to see a buff on traq. It should at least send the person down more than it does when used on someone in the air. Not as a spike or anything but just boosting the fall from it would be nice.

I think Peach's up-B is fair, 'cause it has a fixed-ish descent and clear weaknesses - your horizontal movement can only be mixed up at the expense of actual recovery distance, and you can't attack out of it. There are clear enough distances and heights from which Peach can and cannot recover safely and/or at all, which can't really be said of the glides (which are essentially "if you're not in the blast zone, you can make it back").

I think the average wait time one waits to get a name change should be added into the, "Go Premium Thread." Smashboards mad slow with this and I think it's better people know this in advance.

Im pretty shure meta knight is gonna get nerfed in some way because he benefits a lot from the recovery nerfs other characters are getting.

Meta Knight has multiple jumps and every one of his specials can be used to recover. He is the second lightest character so that kind of balances it out and I think he's fine how he is, but I wouldn't be too surprised if something was done.

Played Dragon's Crown co-op with my cousin just for fun and I'm addicted all over again. Man, that's when you know you have a really good game. 2-hour sessions just turn into 7.

What could be done about MK's recovery? I can't really think of anything other than his glide being changed/removed.
