...So I finally picked Brawl Minus back up and played version 3.Q. Sonic is a blast in that! His fwd-B is a boost dash that works on air or ground, travels as long as you hold it (and stops as soon as you release), and it crosses FD in less than half a second. You can also choose to pass through or hit on contact. Also his grab attack has him taunt "you're too slow" each time lol.

I keep forgetting that I can't just post an image that accurately conveys my feelings anywhere but here without getting an infraction.

I bet I'm not even supposed to technically be allowed to do it here but I get away with it because the mods over here are so chill.

The things they mentioned in that blog post makes me happy, and brings me have hope that PM will become the best smash that it has the potential to be.

The only news I want to hear about tethers are the fact that Melee wall grapples have returned for characters with Zairs somehow.

Until that happens, tethers should not be touched at all imo.
Yeah Melee wall grapples were what I was referring to, should've clarified.

Back when I starting playing PM, I remember thinking that tethers needed changing somehow, but I couldn't figure out what. When I discovered Melee grapple mechanics, everything about it just clicked for me, it felt balanced and was infinitely more interesting to watch. Whether the team finds a way to implement it or not, we can at least look forward to the redesigned and more hype edgeguarding game ^^

What's the allure of Melee grapples? I could never get the hang of them, and I like the way Brawl handled them; it's much simpler. As far as I can tell, the range you get out of a Melee grapple is much reduced, and this would just make stages like Lylat an instant counterpick-ban for tetherers, severely crippling their ability to actually counterpick a matchup.

If they brought back wall grapples, it'd be interesting if they just gave it to the Melee characters to bring in a "new school vs old school" feel.

Sure wish Samus could get the EXTENDURRR back, though. Grabbing people on platforms above you was fun.

Holy**** Junebug going megaham. No stopping the Diddy train.

Also M2K vs Zero Losers Semis? Never thought I'd see the day.

I can't believe they're nerfing recoveries. They are LITERALLY PERFECT as-is and so much fun. I mean, who doesn't enjoy knocking someone off-stage only for them to come back 80% of the time? Guys that's fun. It's fun. It's ****ing fun you guys.

Ok... like no, hold up. M2K landing a Falcon Punch in Losers Semis, and ending the match with a ledge cancelled Knee into Up-Taunt. M2k, because of that you moved up in my personal favorite players list... by a lot!

Was looking forward to an excuse to pull up old posts of mine complaining about Diddy Kong, but it's tough to laugh about a character being OP when he loses. :/

Good hustle, though, Junebug. Props for dealing with those arrows for so long.

Pretty sure Zero is just a better player. Kudos to Junebug for getting so far.

Yeah, it was clear that Zero had adapted to Junebug pretty hardcore by the second match. He's clearly skilled at fixing errors partway through sets.

Onward to 3.5. Get these big ol' recoveries (of which I'm guilty of abusing) outta my game! When Marth has the WORST recovery among the characters I play, you have made a mistake.

I hated drum and bass before it was popular.
Trip hop, downtempo, ambient, chillwave, etc. are my electronica genres of choice.
