You know an anime is good when extremely elaborate animations are made for a scene centered around destroying a pumpkin.

25 new pages to read since I was at SKTAR ;_;. QQ
What was the atmosphere like at SKTAR? I can only imagine, it looked so hype on stream. Especially the final few matches with M2P and Mango in Melee, and Emukiller vs top 8.

Good luck catching up with all these pages though, lol. At least 10 of those pages were pure reactions to matches.

For the Anime discussion (finally off of Pokemon lol), Code Geass is actually really really good. I would recommend to anyone who hasnt seen it yet. Though, most likely, most of you have. Its pretty well known already and not one of the more
obscure animes( I think it even had US airtime not sure).

But its my kind of anime; plot twists everywhere, good fight scenes and relatively quick plot with some suspense moments.

If anyone knows of any similar animes, please let me know!

Good, lesser known animes:

Wolf's Rain
Ginga Nagareboshi Gin
Escaflowne
Chobits

I thoroughly enjoyed all 4 of these. Definitely give them a watch if you haven't already.

I don't think Chobits really counts as lesser known, considering it's a pretty popular CLAMP/Madhouse title.

#2lazy

I need to call 2 businesses today, add Umbreon's FC, lurk smashboards, and sleep. So little time for Showdown. :(

Real talk tho: Unless it's hackmons, I'm probably not going to want to battle as I don't have tier teams set up for OU/UU/anything else

Though I'd love to set up an ubers team, seriously. Mostly because Lugia. But yeah.

????

this scene explains nichijou better than anything else in the world

it is about an argument over an incorrect food order. I will not explain anything else beyond this

You know if any of this is on Netflix? Also, hey guys.

For animes I've seen recently? Huh let's see. I've started watching Spice and Wolf, Attack on Titan, Space Dandy, Rosario + Vampire (Kind of a weird series)
Meh, that's all I can remember right now, but I know I've seen more recently.

It was pretty crazy. Tons of yelling and hype. I'm exhausted x.x.

SnK is okay. I watched it because I liked playing the tribute game, tbh. It's a good watch. The plot was interesting. The characters weren't. Except Levi. But I'm a Levi main, so I'm biased.
Spice & Wolf is so good. You just gotta realize that it's basically a drama/romance centered around medieval economics.
My friend was watching Space Dandy, and apparently it's fun. I might watch it, if only to figure out the revelance of the Booby Planet in the trailer.
By all accounts that I've heard, however, Rosario to Vampire is a really trite ecchi harem. Not planning on watching ever.

Meh. I tried it because it didn't look terrible - but yeah, it's practically soft-core. Netflix sometimes needs to tone down the shows.

It's also fair to note I was mentioning animes I'd seen recently that weren't mentioned already. Oh, and I just remembered another decent lesser known anime, but it's a funky anime for sure. Demon King Daimo.

Tried it, couldn't read the directions, got 600 points, cried deeply.
How exactly are you supposed to get more than a thousand points. Who has all this useless **** memorized?

Intuition and practice probably. Started with 1500 at the beginning, got up to 4000 with mouse, then switched to keyboard. Deep concentration is needed and your brain needs to be activated. I am getting worse though in the last months my average went down from 6500 to 5500...
One trick is to have the current exercise in your fingers, the next one in your head. Pretty hard actually.
It helped me getting a feel for a good focused state of mind because I see different results in this with differenct focus. It also improved my reaction time
Btw the average is around 1500 iirc

Whatevs. I never memorized multiplication or division tables. And I suck the using the num pad. Math is the opposite of intuitive to me, which is one of the reasons I'm retaking Calculus next semester.

Well that's extremely helpful. I'll go by genre:

Romance: Vision of Escaflowne
RomCom: Tsukuyomi -Moonphase-
Action: Redline
Adventure: Katanagatari
Slice of Life Comedy: Squid Girl (You gotta have the ENG Dub on this, or you miss about a bajillion fish puns)
Gag Comedy: Inukami!
Supernatural Thriller: Another
Sci-Fi: Toward the Terra
Supernatural Drama: Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai. (aka AnoHana)
Drama: Gunslinger Girl

Is that good enough?
I've never heard of any of those besides AnoHana lol I'll look into them.
For the Nichijou talk, I actually started that a while ago and stopped at episode 2 to finish it another time, but the animation is great.

As good of a game as SF3 is, it was a massive slap to the face to fans of who grew up with / were accustomed to the slower footsie-heavy SF2 series. Cutting out fan favorites in favor of a completely new cast didn't help its cause either.

SF4 is a great fighter. My only problems with it are that it's a bit too slow paced for my tastes at times, and that the designers added arbitrary execution barriers that were never in 3S. To get somewhat decent in 3S, all you really need to learn in terms of execution are kara-throws and hit-confirm to super. Everything else is more about reading your opponent, with the more executionally demanding stuff only really needed at the highest levels of play. Compare to SF4 where just to get decent damage off meter you most likely need to learn how to FADC moves into Ultra. Then there's arbitrary one frame links for combos that you need since you don't get as much damage from footsies.

KOFXIII, 3S, Skullgirls, GG, BB, Persona, even Marvel at times I find more enjoyable to play than SF4.
Or you can be a scumbag like me and stick to 3d fighters and anime games. Of Capcom games I'm just waiting for them to get CVS2 on GGPO and get it running well then I will be all over that mug otherwise I stick with and play games with good netcode like SCV, TTT2, DSR and ASW fighters.

I don't know why but calc 2 gave me the most trouble. When I did calc 3 it was mostly a breeze.
Cal 1 was really fun, but Cal 2 was just a mess. Good thing that after linear algebra, I'm done with math for the rest of my life.

Which Major requires something as high level as linear algebra but is going to score you a job that doesn't even have math?
