Good stuff but be sure to get Third Strike Online Edition if you see it on sale. Oh wait, you don't have an Xbox (like me neither) and you're playing on PC but you bought an Xbox controller for it? If you're gonna play on PC I'm not sure why you chose the somewhat inferior for fighters Xbox controller over a cheap fightstick. Also xbox 360 to usb cable? I thought it already is USB, and what about Monk does he have a controller?

As good of a game as SF3 is, it was a massive slap to the face to fans of who grew up with / were accustomed to the slower footsie-heavy SF2 series. Cutting out fan favorites in favor of a completely new cast didn't help its cause either.

SF4 is a great fighter. My only problems with it are that it's a bit too slow paced for my tastes at times, and that the designers added arbitrary execution barriers that were never in 3S. To get somewhat decent in 3S, all you really need to learn in terms of execution are kara-throws and hit-confirm to super. Everything else is more about reading your opponent, with the more executionally demanding stuff only really needed at the highest levels of play. Compare to SF4 where just to get decent damage off meter you most likely need to learn how to FADC moves into Ultra. Then there's arbitrary one frame links for combos that you need since you don't get as much damage from footsies.

KOFXIII, 3S, Skullgirls, GG, BB, Persona, even Marvel at times I find more enjoyable to play than SF4.

Considering my Anime-Planet account says I've completed 165 shows, what are you looking for? Favourite shows or genres would really help narrow it down from "everything I liked." Also, tone, format, or length. Not necessarily all of these things, but gimmie something to work with.

I'll watch anything really lol, as long as it's interesting enough. I've also already looked at the deeper meaning of SEL's plot, kinda why I started to like it so much after the 4th episode.

You should definitely put it on top of your list, it's an amazing series that'll hook you in from episode one. There's so much damn plot it's delicious.

I don't use MAL, I just have my own personal list composed. I have 92 series completed thus far.
I'll look into getting one and just putting down my favorite series just so you can get a basic idea of what I like the most.

@ Animu discussion: I need to finish cowboy bebob. Like I started watching it with my roommate but he was being a **** and thought that any anime with guns in it is trash (I don't ****ing know, he's an asshole) so I'm like 3 episodes in, might just re-start it and appreciate it from the start.
I've watched a bit of Maid-Sama with my better-half and its honestly not that bad. I don't mind shojos (I think thats what its called? I'm not too big of an otaku/weeb/other derogatory term) I just don't know where to start. I honestly hated Attack on Titan and the only like-able characters got killed off way before I even liked them that much, the main characters are little wimps, and the inner-town conflict is so stupid. I'm like 7 episodes into Kill-a-Kill, I'm pretty sure I stopped right as it was getting good (when the dude traded his eyes for super world-mind seeing powers) and I actually liked that episode and wanted to watch the next one but finals week.

@ SF4 talk: SF4 has stupid-hard executions which are pretty needless imo, but its part of the game i guess. I really like P4A and Skullgirls, Marvel is so boring until someone breaks out a new tech ( I honestly fall asleep on marvel streams). I'm recently getting into Sf4, was planning on it for ultra but I got the AE on steam and went ahead and put some time into it. I was like "ehhhh" at first but then I watched some BnB yang videos and messed around with his resets and I just fell inlove. cross up mk (It will cross up again in Ultraaa) standing lp>close mk>Jump cancel to delayed Hk footdive > command grab reset> lp> rekkas or whatever is soo gooooood and not even that hard to do. His reset game is so good like damn, he can do command grab resets, overhead resets, cross up dash to low short/overhead/command grab, I'm just in love with this character
I just need to like actually get good and understand footsies and stuff, Too used to being a fast as hell fox shining around the stage.

I dunno if anyone else has already mentioned this or not, but I don't feel like combing through this thread to see if it was.

For anyone interested in running the Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta, pre-registration has opened, and it begins in 2 weeks. Check it out here http://fourjobfiesta.com/ I'm running it again, like I did last year. Decided to go for a Normal Team750 run this year, which is likely to be pretty easy, but may turn out to be a nightmare. At least I won't roll Berserker like I did last year. If you wanna run Berserker Risk, signing up and getting whatever donations you want to do is better done early rather than later, cuz you can't do Berserker Risk after the fiesta begins, and only donations during pre-reg count towards giving people more berserkers.

If ya don't know what this "Four Job Fiesta" business is, you can read about it on their website, but the jist of it is this. You play a challenge run of Final Fantasy V, and completing it helps raise money for the Child's Play charity. At each point in the game where you save one of the crystals, you will only be allowed to use one of your new jobs, selected at random. You must use at least one of each of your jobs (you'll end up with four, one for each character), and there are different variations with different rules. Head on over to the website if you wanna join the fun, or make your own donation to the cause.
