But i'm not bitter or sad about anything. I'm a very happy person actually; what is it about some people that makes them think that others who are capable of criticism must have some underlying personal reason for not being super nice and sugar coating everything?

It's just an observation. Just listen to him compensate. Everything I said in my post Is a fact, minus the "EE is an awful commentator" part. That part is an opinion based on the facts I observed. If you think repetitive commentary and fake hype make for a good commentator then you are entitled to your opinion even if it is wrong.
Yo man. It's fine to be critical. What you are being is a **** though. Not constructive at all. There's no need to tear down someone who puts in a lot of hard work to entertain you. EE seems like a nice guy and I think it's pretty lame of you to sit back, criticize his tone of voice, repetition and say he's horrible. Fine, he repeats himself a bit. But criticizing his tone of voice? Calling him horrible? That's completely unnecesarry and seems borne out of negativity, rather than a desire to actually help someone improve.

@DrinkingFood I'm not sure why you say fake hype for EE, I think he stays true/real to his emotions and all. Do you got a specific video you could link?

Going through 15 hours of footage uploading tournament matches to my youtube..man this is a lot of work x.x. Kudos to all the people who do this often.
Videos are EVIL. Try making tutorial videos. Eventually they'll be huge touch screen monitors with super easy to use programs to sort and make everything and then it'll be actually fast and fun.

I had my first taste of this today with a 6 hour video, would of been longer if the audio for doubles hadn't screwed up. The work for that is grueling since Twitch's playback buffer is so bad.

EE is an awful commentator
He adds way too much of the same flavor text over and over again, especially things like "Les' go!" and "Rightch hyeea!" and almost always says different phrases with one of like a set of 3 patterns of inflection/syllable/emphasis
And he hardly even changes the tone of his voice so he sounds like he's always trying to be to be hype... but succeeding only halfway, even when he should definitely be hype or definitely shouldn't
Notice I said someone loud. People are taking my proposed duo way too seriously. I just wanted to get DMX together with a guy who makes some really edgy jokes on stream.
Personally, I love EE. Enthusiasm gets me every time, so maybe I'm just easy to please.

One of those behind the scenes elements of smash tournaments you have to experience to really understand.

I want to pull a GimR at some point and upload matches as they get done. I imagine it would actually save a lot of hassle, if you're in a position to do it.

I hope to do this as well someday. Also Sprawlers, I should be at SG this Thursday. I have a new good layout for us to use, the Game Underground Twitch channel (I streamed Mass Madness) and acquainted myself with your partner Mizuki so I'm all set to go.

What time do you plan on showing up? As long as its before 7, we could probably use your set up. Also if you could show me the layout somehow that'd be awesome. Also will you be able to stream regularly starting this thursday?

I'll try to be there before 7 this week. I'll PM you a preview of my overlay, it's a bit dark right now and I'm gonna swap out the background for a more solid texture.
I don't know about regularly though, I'll definitely have to look into that this week.

Ok sounds good.

The sooner I can be relieved of stream master duties, the better. Setting up and managing a stream was a fun, pretty fulfilling challenge, but now I want to focus my efforts on TOing. Our tournaments could definitely end at least an hour sooner. Just at the recent one, we had a huge hold up in part of the loser's bracket. Like one section of losers was 6-7 rounds behind the rest.

I also want to experiment with doing RR pools into a top 16 bracket. Based on how long RR pools into a top 32 took at our monthly, we could definitely do RR pools into a top 16 and have it run actually faster than our straight up double elim bracket. Which is amazing because it means everyone plays more games. The only reason we aren't doing this now is because we don't have the manpower to get it going. But if I don't have to worry about the stream at all, I could probably get this going.

Is there a frame by frame codeset available out there ?
I want to smash lab the hell out of this game but the tests are hard to carry out correctly on my own, even in 1/4 speed.

I would love RR at SG, what do you need done to make this happen?

Would you also care to become a certified PMDepot assistant? And find for me random frame data requests for videos or record something frame by frame? You'll get video credit and or links to your own youtube or anything shown

I mostly planned on experimenting on my own, but I'd be glad to contribute. The thing is, I don't have anything to record yet. My PC can't run Dolphin (it overheats), and the streaming equipment I got doesn't work on PAL wiis so I'll have to find myself a bunch of rare and expensive cables and plugs before I can get anything recorded. Or an NTSC wii. Either case I have to save some more money :V
I'll try to remember your request and get back to you when I have the means to get footage online.

By the way, PMBR guys, since you won't have to be bothered with making an additionnal wifi safe version anymore, can you be bothered with making an additionnal PAL version ? XOXOXO

Does anyone remember the youtuber sp0ntanious? He made this video three years ago:

He just released another video after a three year hiatus.

Thanks. If you do got a good camera though recording your TV could look decent.

Hopefully they DON'T get rid of the Wifi safe version, because it's still the Replay safe version (and separate Wifi servers are somewhat possible in the future). I think they're also making that feature to switch versions through the load screen work. I also hope they don't take the custom buffer out.
