Marill did not evolve on it's level, it wasn't quite as ridiculous but it most definitely wasn't on the level it was supposed to. Nincada was one of the only, if not the only, that we managed to evolve on the first try.

It wasn't for the lore or anything, it was partially trolls and mostly just due to the delay that it kept on getting cancelled. You're acting as if it was never gonna evolve, which is very unlikely. As soon as it would've evolved it wouldn't be lagging behind the team anymore, which it was barely doing in the first place

Oh also, when I was playing friendlies later, I had the oddest thing happen. Fell clear through PS1. And it wasn't the glitch with the tree stump. It was in the rock stage, as far as I could tell I fell through the ground in that small triangle formed by the ramps in the middle. My best guess would be that, since it's a spot that you're not supposed to get to, the ground has no collision. That still begs the question of how I managed to get in there in the first place. It wasn't while it was changing either.

I think I've fallen through Corneria at least once, and there are a few instances on youtube as well.

I've always wondered if adding a bunch of floor collisions right under the floor would help prevent this.

Like it's been said before, landings are universals : 2 frames for soft landing, 4 for hard landing. Unless you !have rco lol.

The rco is that up-b bug that Marth has right? Looking at the jump squat animation length, I'm surpised Snake has a whopping 10 frames. He may have needed to deduct a frame to all the characters in his list since I recall Brawlbox has some animation thing where the first frame isn't used or something.
