Just got back from a 10-man weekly. Took second and broke even against another crossdressing Charizard player. Was my first real outing in the tournament setting, but it was well worth the experience.

Wolf is somewhere between nutso and hard to figure out. That bair is scary fast with how he maneuvers the stage.

Have any starcraft players heard of the mod called Starbow? It has recently gotten popular, and even some pros have started playing it on stream. It is trying to make a hybrid between starcraft 2 and broodwar, but mostly broodwar gameplay with starcraft 2 graphics. This kind of reminded me of Project M, although Starcraft 2 isn't as bad compared to Starcraft 1 as Brawl is to Melee (in my opinion).

It is the mod Starcraft II needs. I really do feel like BW is analogous to Melee, and that SC2 is analogous to Brawl, albeit less so due to SC2 still being mostly competitive-friendly. I really hope that Starbow grows and eventually becomes a huge thing compared to SC2, but SC2 is firmly entrenched and already established. I hope that Starbow will be analogous to P:M in terms of effect on community, it already is a mechanical and pace-wise throwback to BW.

Also wtf I live in Illinois are there any Smash tournaments remotely close ever? :O

I personally enjoy Sc2 more, instead of baby sitting your units you could actually focus on scouting, macro, and useful micro. Although i will say BW has a special place in my heart

Hey everyone, I know this isn't the best place to post this but I'm trying to get as much help as I can with setting up my Wii at my apartment to get a good Wifi Connection to play PM. Lol MK, que drago... He's such a fast little pain in the butt. My advice is pretty general, but I think it still applies. Dictate the speed of the match through your actions. The moment he starts to play your game, you've won. Whether you are controlling space with a projectile or a disjointed hitbox, force MK to play by your rules. Obviously that's a lot easier said than done, but it still holds true.

I ROB'd the whole way
I don't hate ROB at all he has my favorite playstyle of any character in any smash game ever
it's just that I get upset that an amazing quirk of his side-b that nobody else but me ever even utilized was removed so that JCz could force the move into being even more braindead as a rushdown move, which is only going to be effective until people figure it out
I also wish he had a little more personality but ya'know... HE'S A ROBOT THEY AREN'T ALLOWED TO HAVE PERSONALITY
also I think ROB should definitely be a hard character to grab what with how much time he can spend in the air and how quickly he can move OoS with a gyro in hand
the only issue is metaknight is also godlike in the air
chances are I'm just **** at the matchup, never fought an MK before so I'm kinda just glad the MM was 3-1 and not 3-0

I was trying to do that but I kept being ******** and giving my gyro away
I need to find better ways to make space and keep my gyro for my use only and not his, and better ways to control space without relying so much on the gyro

I really don't want to do netplay again until I get a USB mayflash converter for my GCC. I can't even afford the converter though, I spent the last of my money on that tourney. Maybe when I get desperate for quality gameplay again I'll venture to netplay. Not to be rude towards my roommate, his persistence ****ing astounds me, but repeatedly 3 and 4 stocking all his mains with my ROB, everyday, sometimes an hour of just straight ROB, doesn't seem fun for either of us. Not that I wouldn't play ROB for 12 hours a day, I just need a little variety and a lot challenge in my opponents. I just hope I can stand the awkward placement of the XBC's buttons so the lag spikes will be the only thing that bother me.

Its ok Drinking5th, i understand whats going on. After playing at that tourney you realized half the players weren't on my level, and that they gave you nowhere near enough practice to face me. Its ok if you chicken out, most people would too

You see, I'm not a *****. So I usually don't post my real life bs here. But this time I need some advice.


It's about girls, yep here we go...


You see, there was this girl who was in at least one of my classes every year. And she was really hot. We became friends, and over time we became even better friends, and she got hotter. But we were never really close, so when we weren't in the same class this year it didn't really phase me. She is like the typical social popular girl, I'm your typical, well, typical 18 year old. Smoke, drink , party, that kinda stuff.

Well recently i was sitting in class, and guess who the new teacher assistant was? Yep, it was her. And I didn't think she would care that I was in the class so I just kinda sat down and did the usual learning thing. I was kinda tired today so the situation didn't really sink it, and I didn't remember the fact that I haven't seen/talked to her since the school year started. So I glanced over and noticed she was hotter than the last time I saw her, and she was also waving at someone. I thought she was waving to someone behind me so I just casually looked away, but I looked around and no one was looking up, and when I looked at her she looked so offended and sad, and then she just started texting.

It slowly dawned on me what I had done, my 4th emotion was shattered.
Why didnt I just wave back? Why? WWWHHHYYYY! She must think I'm an asshole now.

It is quiet in that class so I couldn't get her attention in any way, I feel like a total ****. I should have like waved back or something, so now she probably thinks I'm acting too good for her or something. I've felt bad about it all day

See usually when this happens I don't give a ****, because I'm kinda a **** to most girls(yet they still like me). But this girl is different, I know I keep saying she's hot but I only keep bringing it up to be funny(really though, she is the hottest girl in the school), I've had my share of hot girls and the only reason I act dickish is because they are usually stupid, I only hook up because they are hot.

But I could never be mean to her, she is too nice to me! She has substance, she has a personality! She is also really cool! I just wanna somehow apologize or something, but for some reason I can't muster enough testosterone to tell her in front of all her damn annoying friends. They are always flocking around her, and they are so ****ing annoying. And not only that, but she makes me feel too fuzzy inside to act normal. It's the perfect anti-paradoxium formula.

Just imagine if sonic had a shine that had 10x range and was dash cancelable. That's kinda what my situation is like. There is like no way to get too her, and she is playing defensively. It's like a 4 stocked situation.

I don't know what is going on with my brain! Talking to girls is so easy, why must I have trouble with her! Why is she giving me difficulty, i dont understand, i dont understand why im so broken about this. I feel like the fabrics of my reality are finally caving in, and that my very memory's will be a mere construct of imagination! Just the thought of it all shatters me! Just yesterday I had ferocity and valor to match that of a dragon, but now I am but a sad little rodent! Dear Lord!

I need opinions! And suggestions!!

*Disclaimer* i all don't think girls are stupid, just the general population of popular male and females are pretty stupid.

Trying to talk to a girl when they are always surrounded by friends is the worst, if you just single them out you can be considered rude or obvious but otherwise it's hard to come up with something to talk to them alone. What I find works best is just smiling and waving at the girl you know. If she wants to talk to you she will break away from her group of friends and walk over and you can be like "hey it's awesome that you are the TA in my class, sorry I ignored you the other day I actually thought you were waving to someone behind me and didn't want to be awkward" or something along those lines. She'll probably just laugh about it then you just talk to her normally. If she doesn't come out of her group of friends and just waves back at you then she probably doesn't want to talk to you or is busy so you just have to wait till you see her alone. Just be upfront don't worry about being embarrassed, eye contact and smiling/waving can pull girls out of groups pretty quickly if they are interested in you.

The Internet is an enormous concentration of information, I'll take my chances. I think i actually am getting inside my own head, I'm way over thinking this.
