Double Charizard in grand finals sounds amazing to be honest. I would watch that.
Unfortunately, it was Charizard dittos in WF only. He switched off to Wolf in GF, and between matchup inexperience, player inexperience, and general tournament inexperience (First time in an actual PM tournament), I couldn't adapt to the Wolf's defensive options or combos.

Not being able to watch that because I'm at work sucks.

I guess I can try to catch the recording later.

I won doubles for the second time today, yay.

Also won Singles and Side Event as well. I'm very excited to go home, not have a tournament for a while and then not get out of pools at Shuffle V. Living the dream.

I just won a doubles tournament for my first time! Really happy about it, shoutouts to my partner Heysuess!
You guys did a great job resetting the bracket. DDD/squirtle was fun to watch and even more fun to commentate. I really enjoyed the Distant Planet as a stage pick, it gave you the room to do your squirtle junk and for Heysuess to get out of pressure, as well as a higher platform he was using to jump out and smack Cori out of her bombs.

Have any starcraft players heard of the mod called Starbow? It has recently gotten popular, and even some pros have started playing it on stream. It is trying to make a hybrid between starcraft 2 and broodwar, but mostly broodwar gameplay with starcraft 2 graphics. This kind of reminded me of Project M, although Starcraft 2 isn't as bad compared to Starcraft 1 as Brawl is to Melee (in my opinion).

Starbow is actually a very cool mod. I've only had a chance to play it once (because reasons) but I had a loads of fun while i got to play it. And it is pretty reminiscent of P:M

Project melee is love, Project melee is life.

hey, just wondering, who here has attempted the Single Player modes on Intense in PM?

I recently conquered Classic mode with Roy on Intense without continuing, man, fighting Both Hands was TOUGH... went in there with four stocks... came out of it with one

I'm having a hard time doing additional actions immediately after a wavedash or l canceled aerial. I am a brawl player and never played melee before so I was thinking that the lack of buffering in project m might be the cause of my problem.

It's just a timing thing. What I recommend is you do the action really slowly, then speed up until you have the timing down.

yeah, remember that there's 10 frames of lag after a wd, so you do need to wait juuuust a tiny bit before doing something.

lcancelling is similar. it doesn't remove all lag, just cuts it in half, so you'll have to get used to your timing for different moves.

Yeah, lack of buffering is the most likely cause. Although you can't buffer most inputs after an attack, you can still buffer shields; in addition to what others have said, you can try buffering a shield after an L-cancel or wavedash to get an idea for when's the first frame you can act.

I GOT 5TH AT A REASONABLY SIZED TOURNEY
Louisiana had its winter smashcon, its semiannual "regional". Attendance was hurt a bit by road closures, but brawl/PM/Melee singles all had between 40 and 45 entrants. I got 5th in PM singles, went 5-2. I also got some matches recorded (not streamed tho) that were commentated on and even hyped on. ROB vs Diddy is a hella fun match up, the item play is ridiculous, boosting over bananas then wavelanding over them is too good, too bad I didn't get that recorded, was one of my favorite matches I played there.

Hey you only did that well because you practiced with me over net play that one time :)

Now I can except getting trashed by you because you placed 5th, so if anyone asks I got owned by a good player.

All is well that ends well
