I keep coming back to Samus, and she's who I have the most fun with, so I'm going to put in some serious time with her. Only thing is I live in the same area as Chevy so I feel kind of weird about that, but oh well.

I really liked this idea
Oh and update on that girl I met at Smash n Splash:

I'm meeting up with her at WDW tonight, and then instead of going back with her carpool she's going to come with me, crash at my apartment, and we'll spend Thursday together.

It's looking good.

I was directly told I was not allowed to do this by hotel staff on Day 1 when I arrived as I was doing the same
It's probably because you were going to be on stream a lot, and twitch has rules about it. I wasn't ever on stream.

All I know is nobody said anything to me, otherwise I would've put something on.

So I spent Smash n Splash shirtless and I've been going to the gym all week, started benching.

@ Grey Belnades Grey Belnades I hope you're proud of me. I may be a stick now but I'm working on getting strong.

That's my boy. They all look strong so fast.

And don't worry about your current body progress. We all start somewhere. Just be sure to keep at it. Consistency is key!

I didn't realize that everybody knew everything about the differences between PM and melee or all pm quirks.
I'm not saying I know it all

I'm saying that having encyclopedic knowledge of really tiny engine things probably doesn't matter to one's ability to play the game well

Then I remembered that hitstun and shieldstun aren't in that game.
lower hitstun and shieldstun are good things

is there anything that's actually safe or + on shield in smash 4? It just feels like there's literally no shield stun at all
There are a lot of safe moves, but not nearly as many as in previous games. It's a good change - characters actually being able to punish attacks by blocking means that the game won't revolve entirely around characters that can throw out high-value, low-commitment moves quickly and repeatedly, like in previous games.

Complaining about a lack of shieldstun is essentially complaining that the game rewards good thinking (i.e knowing when to try an attack and from where) more than it does good mechanical skill (i.e doing perfect short-hopped fast-falled l-canceled neutral aerials with Fox). Any game or sport that rewards strategy more than physical prowess is intrinsically more meaningful than the other way around.

good afternoon, thread

so I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia

I was kinda hoping that my constant pain and inability to focus was because of something I could actually fix, but I guess I'll just deal

Smash 4 needs Heihachi Mishima so I can hear smash 4 players complain about knockdown jab strings, beefy attacks, EWGF, OTGF and Tekken Wavedashing

even the guy who first invented the diagnosis says that it's not real, which you may have known if you spent five seconds of your life doing something other than throwing a tantrum to look it up

there may very well be an underlying condition that affects your focus or your perception of your pain - and your doctor saying that it's fibromyalgia is their way of avoiding having to find out what it actually is

Idk why you think Fox wins majors by nairing whenever he wants. It is a game of spacing revolving around attacks, and not shields and grabs like in 4.

It's a game of spacing because shields and dodges aren't efficient enough to deal with the safest moves. You have to rely on being outside of the range of moves (spacing) because blocking/dodging them doesn't work.

Making it possible to actually block or dodge attacks is not intrinsically a bad thing.

...but do you have to be a goddamn condescending prick about it? Christ, Bleck, ****ing explain yourself instead of just nonchalantly being a douche. If there's altruism behind the intent of you saying this, I'm not seeing it. You're just being smarmy for the sake of being smarmy.

That said, I agree with what you're saying about Smash 4.

So apparently Ike got a few buffs in Smash4 to make him not ****.
But then I use sideB.

And suddenly, I'm left questioning just how "not ****" they actually made him.

Sadly even with buffs he and Marth are just put to shame by Roy. He literally is faster than Marth and stronger than Ike, they were able to make the other dlc characters fine. Who the hell let this beast out? X'D lmao

A crazy Japanese man who buffed him and luigified him in a way. Marth can give him trouble though and Marth got buffed as well.
And power bombs, don't forget power bombs.
I can dig it.

I like how shielding isn't a great defensive option. Then again, I like 64 and in that game shielding is almost the worst option. I love how aggressive it can make the gameplay.

But I can understand if people wanted really good defensive options. It doesn't make the game worse, its just not what I like.

The worst option is not playing Kirby.
