So now that Apex is over, lets talk apex.

So Apex's "big things" from Nintendo amounted to -> Giving Apex Wii U and Smash 4 set ups, and expecting relentless ads to buy Smash 4 during Smash 4 Top 8.

But we were told to be patient, and realize that this was best for the community. They assured us that this would be worth it.

Lets talk about how this was best for the community.

Pros:

+ Papa Nintendo finally paid us lip service

+ They gave Wii U set ups to Apex


Cons:

- PM kicked to side streams at Tipped off 10

- PM not streamed at all at Paragon

- Beast V VOD's not uploaded by GimR

- Custom Melee for Beast V told to be removed even though people had put plenty of work into it

- Deal included PM being removed from all Streams and youtubes from the streamers involved in Apex

- Deliberate exclusion of the second biggest event at Apex 2014

- Deliberate exclusion of one of the biggest smash communities.



Conclusion:

Apex can suck a fat chode.

No because PPMD won and I had a good time. Sorry man, it sucks but that's how it is. There's only so much you can do with this and really it almost DIDN'T happen and since I support every Smash community I am OVERALL satisfied although I miss P:M cause my bud and I loved doing P:M character bets :/

Although Apex did **** up my schoolwork metagame uber hard.

I'm sorry I had a good time then? I'm used to **** randomly dropping and not showing up in majors given my main game (Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo AKA Japanese Arcades or maybe half an hour at EVO if you're lucky) so I've kind of gotten used to it, really.

You do what you want but like, I had a fun time and I'll definitely tune in for 2016 (hopefully a blizzard won't **** the venue again tho). I can't in good conscious say it was garbo based on my experience.

If I had to be mad at Apex it honestly wouldn't be because of no PM at this point. Sm4sh taking longer than expected and subsequent disrespect to ZeRo by the crowd, Apex staff members kicking people out of the front rows for reserved seats, heck maybe even streaming shenanigans with VGBC delaying aMSa/SFAT - these are all more immediate concerns. But knowing how the Apex staff was able to deliver what they did after the hotel fiasco I consider Apex a success for the Smash community. Maybe not for #oneunit, but definitely for the community. And I definitely had enough fun celebrating smash to make up for any of these expected imperfections.

@ SunJester there is no source that says nintendo provided Wii U's or monitors for smash 4. as far as I know almost all of the setups were provided by Gaming Generations.

I think Armada's Fox was one of the most hype things of the tournament. Very optimized in many senses, good up-tilt use, doubleshines. Kinda my target style (just at pro level).
