But the narrative building up to this year was pretty strong: the old gods falling from grace one by one, the people's champion vs. the overconfident heel who was building steam like an unstoppable runaway train, last stock deciding it all.

Melee history has so many repetitive moments using the same gameplay you have to just pretend this never happened before.

I think tournaments should consider saving loser semis after winners finals. I think it's hard to play loser finals right away tbh

I 100% agree with jwong. Every tourney should run it like that imo. It's way too straining both physically and mentally to go straight from a 5 game WFs into a 5 game LFs.
