Everything was planned, America's hero, Mango, decided to sandbag during the whole tourney (thus dropping every American skill level -50%) anyhow, Mango was interested of bringing more European smashers for the next big tourney (Pound 4) so he decided to lose intentionally in winners and make grand finals 1st set very close to make all of europe think that U.S isn't that great. Think about it.

More european = more profit.

No wonder he ***** Armada 3-0 in last set, he wanted to get drunk.

TL;DR America was sandbagging.
