I read somewhere that Digimon was partially owned by Namco or something to that effect, I never actually looked into it. But it would be interesting to see a Digimon going at it with a Pokemon. Any possibility is a possibility.

Even if Ganondorf is the best possible veteran reveal.

Most likely Vets are going get confirmed at E3.We might have some confirmed before E3 such as Capt Falcon, Falco, Meta Knight, Puff, Ganon, Ness, G&W and Ice Climbers. As for as newcomers go...I can see Chrom getting announced at E3. That's about it really...

If we're still in the discussion about possible Fire Emblem newcomers...

Out of all the Awakening characters, Chrom has the most likely chance. Why? Because he's the main character. And a majority of main characters are in Smash.

Well...I cannot answer that. But I have to say, I wouldn't mind the Avatar being in Sm4sh. Or Lucina. But you have to consider...do we really need another Falchion user? That's my problem with Chrom and Lucina. In my opinion, the Avatar would be the perfect choice to represent Awakening, what, with magic/tomes and swords. The Avatar would probably function the same way as Wii Fit Trainer, where you can choose to play as either gender.

Still think that Chrom has the best chance though. Out of FE:A characters, of course.

King k rool (he just got hinted again today the lights falling and blackput thing is from the dk64 king k rool fight diddy kong dpsection and lanky kong section)

Palutena (well she could just be shown just to get it off they're chest for good)

Mewtwo (most wanted character out of all of them mega hype before the release)

A WTf character (these guys can bring hype or uuuuuuh when they are revealed)

Vets: Honestly they could all be revealed. Who knows? I know the ones I would like to see return are.

Newcomers: If the 3DS version is coming out by summers end I don't think they should reveal to many more characters myself. But if they are going to reveal some the only ones I would be really excited to see would be.

Ridley (I don't think this will happen either because it was hinted pretty blatantly that he's going to be the pyrosphere boss)
King K. Rool (I don't have much hope for this guy as well. Seeing as he hasn't really been that relevant any time recently.)
Geno (I don't think it's gonna happen. I just really want it to.)

I don't expect either of those three to get in I've kinda lost interest in newcomer reveals. There no one else besides those three that would get me really excited. The way I see it now is anyone else that is added is just spiffy to me. Little Mac and Megaman are in it and that's awesome. I like all the other newcomers. They all look cool. So anyone else new that is added outside the three listed above. Would probably just get a "that's cool I'll try them out" response. If one of the three I have listed above does make it in I'll have the proverbial nerdgasm as I did with Megaman and Little mac but I don't expect them so.

I'm more so looking forward to hearing about the new modes and etc now. That and the definitive release date for the 3DS version of the game so I can know when I'm going to sink my teeth into that one.

Roy got replaced with Ike...Ike being replaced with Chrom with a Lucina skin makes more sense. Most likely Sakurai will give him a unique move set. I don't think he will be a Marth clone.

It wasn't necessarily a replacement though; Ike was higher on the priority list and Roy got cut as a result. I don't believe that the same circumstances surrounding the game 6 years ago are going to apply in a modern context to THIS title, it isn't plausible precedent. The Lucina skin makes more sense with Marth as Masked Marth as they share a body-types (and names) more accurately.

Yeah, I guess we were (not to mention they dropped newcomers whenever they wanted back then and we have to wait for Directs). I sort of thought announcing a name like Megaman was worth a few characters, anyway. But it may have been smarter to it this way, really hyping every little announcement.

I would love if it came out that day but that won't happen. And yeah 2-3 minimal is what I am thinking will happen, max being 6 like brawl if we are lucky.

My guess is that a few veterans and maybe a newcomer or two will be unveiled during Nintendo's Digital Event. Then right before or after the Smash Invitational another newcomer or beloved veteran (looking at you, Mewtwo) will be announced.

It's basically impossible to determine what Sakurai will show off, but here's my safe guess:

Smash Invitational Reveal:

Sure would be awesome.
